May is somehow here (how did the year fly by already?) and Pluto TV is refreshing its lineup. This summer brings some heavy hitters to the network, particularly in the form of one of the biggest sci-fi hits of the last 20 years.

We're talking "Battlestar Galactica", with the acclaimed sci-fi franchise landing on Pluto TV so you can check it out for free. That includes the miniseries, all four seasons of the main series, and “The Plan,” so you have a chance to see the full saga in one place.

But that's not all. Pluto TV is also streaming five of the "Mission: Impossible" films free throughout May. You get free access to some of Tom Cruise’s most crowd-pleasing blockbuster work, and you can get caught up on what's going on in the series so far.

Also worth adding to your list is “The 100,” an addictive postapocalyptic drama series. It sarts with survivors returning to Earth nearly a century after nuclear war, only to find that staying alive on the ravaged planet is far more complicated than they expected. With seven seasons and 100 episodes, it offers a lot to binge and some serious character development.

'Battlestar Galactica'

Few sci-fi series have the reputation that “Battlestar Galactica” carries, and now the franchise is finding a permanent home at Pluto TV. Viewers can stream the miniseries, all four seasons of the main series, and “The Plan", all of which are based on and extending from the classic 1978 sci-fi film. This massively popular reboot from 2004 follows the adventures of the crew of the ship of the same name as it flees an attack on humanity by the ruthless AI beings dubbed Cylons. It's an intense drama more focused on the interpersonal politics of those affected by the Cylons now than it is an action series the way its original iteration was, and it's an addictive watch through and through.

This post-apocalyptic series makes its storied return to Pluto TV in May. Set nearly a century after nuclear war devastated Earth, it follows a group of survivors sent back to the planet to find out whether humanity will be able to start again. Across seven seasons and 100 episodes, it grows from a simple survival story into a larger conflict and an examination of what humanity is going to do following one of the largest extinction events in history.
