Weekends are the perfect chance to switch off and dive into something new, and few things beat getting hooked on a fresh series. If your watchlist is starting to feel a little stale, Netflix has recently added a selection of shows that are perfect for binge-watching. Of course, with the streamer dropping so much content every week, it can be hard to keep up with everything that’s new.
This week’s highlights include a popular fantasy adventure back with season 2, a new mystery thriller series, and a romantic drama also returning with a fresh season. To make things easier and save you the endless scrolling, here are three new Netflix series that are well worth your time.
‘One Piece’
More than two years later, the Straw Hat Pirates have returned to the seas. Netflix’s live-action adaptation of “One Piece” quickly became a major success when it first debuted, even surpassing viewing records previously held by some of the platform’s biggest hits, including “Stranger Things” and “Wednesday.” The show has proven to be one of the few live-action anime adaptations that fans genuinely embraced. Plus, Netflix has already confirmed a third season.

Along the way, the crew travels to strange and dangerous locations, including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and the snowy Drum Island. Their journey brings them into conflict with powerful enemies while introducing new allies such as Princess Vivi (Charithra Chandran) and the reindeer doctor Tony Tony Chopper (Mikaela Hoover).

‘That Night’
Netflix subscribers are usually drawn to short, suspenseful thrillers, and six-episode mysteries are perfect for a weekend binge-watch. “That Night,” the new Spanish thriller, has all the right ingredients, beginning with the intense fallout from an accidental death. As the characters scramble to cover their tracks, the story gradually shifts, revealing layers of family tension and sibling dynamics, making it not just a gripping thriller but a quietly resonant family drama as well.
“That Night” follows Elena (Clara Galle), a young single mother who travels to the Dominican Republic for a holiday with her sisters. One evening, while driving, she accidentally hits a man with her car. Terrified of the consequences, she calls her sisters Paula (Claudia Salas) and Cris (Paula Usero) for help. When they arrive, the three women decide to handle the situation themselves rather than involve the authorities. Their efforts to hide the truth lead to increasingly dangerous consequences that threaten to alter their lives forever.

‘Virgin River’
Looking for a heartwarming small-town love story? “Virgin River” is back for Season 7, and it’s pure comfort TV at its finest. This romantic drama series is based on the novels by Robyn Carr and set in a remote Northern California town. It centers on the lives of the local residents as they interact, grow, and form deep bonds in their close‑knit community. Since its debut in 2019, it has become one of Netflix’s longest‑running scripted originals.
“Virgin River” season 7 picks up in the small Northern California town shortly after Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan’s (Martin Henderson) wedding. The couple manages their new life together, including starting the process of adopting a baby offered to them by a local resident. Elsewhere in town, Brie (Zibby Allen), Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth) and Mike’s (Marco Grazzini) complicated relationships continue to unfold, and newcomer Clay (Cody Kearsley) arrives with a mysterious past.
