Spring is shaping up to be another packed season for Netflix, with the streamer rolling out a mix of long-awaited returning series, big-budget movies and completely new originals. The platform’s spring 2026 lineup already has plenty of titles worth adding to your watchlist.

Whether you’re in the mood for a crime drama in the world of “Peaky Blinders,” a gripping horror series or even a survival thriller set in the wilderness, these upcoming releases could be some of the biggest streaming highlights of the season. So, here are the five biggest Netflix movies and shows I absolutely can’t wait to watch in spring 2026.

‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’

If you were a fan of the original “Peaky Blinders” series, this movie is an easy addition to your watchlist. But even if you never followed the show, a crime drama set in war-torn Britain led by Cillian Murphy (alongside Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Stephen Graham and Barry Keoghan) is still a very compelling reason to tune in. You can actually catch “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man” on the big screen right now thanks to its limited theatrical run before it eventually arrives on Netflix.

Set in 1940s Birmingham during World War II, “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man” continues the story of crime boss Tommy Shelby (Murphy) years after the events of the series finale. Living in isolation, Tommy is drawn back into the turmoil surrounding the Peaky Blinders as new threats emerge in wartime Britain. When a dangerous scheme involving counterfeit British currency and Nazi agents begins to unfold, the Shelby family becomes entangled in a tense conflict that could destabilize the country.

‘Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen’

As a huge horror lover, I’m always on the lookout for new shows that can keep me on the edge of my seat, and Netflix’s upcoming series, “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen,” immediately caught my attention. A show that warns you the worst is coming in its title is basically impossible to ignore, and a clever tactic that makes you watch just to see what actually happens. Executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, the series looks like a twisty ride for the horror fans.

“Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen” follows Rachel (Camila Morrone) and Nicky (Adam DiMarco), an engaged couple preparing for their upcoming wedding. With the ceremony only a week away, the pair travel to Nicky’s family’s secluded vacation home, where friends and relatives have gathered for the celebration. As the days pass and the wedding approaches, strange incidents begin to disrupt the preparations. Rachel soon becomes unsettled by the behavior of those around her and the unusual events unfolding at the house.

‘Beef’ season 2

Watch On

Netflix’s “Beef” is officially returning for a second season this year. The dark comedy-drama, which premiered in April 2023, became an instant hit, earning a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Season 2 takes a fresh approach with a completely new cast. While Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, who starred in the first season’s story about a life-upending road rage incident, are not expected to return, the series now stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny, offering a new dynamic while keeping the show’s distinct mix of dark humor and drama.

This new season centers on Austin (Melton) and Ashley (Spaeny), a young couple working at an upscale country club who witness a volatile argument between their boss, Joshua Martín (Isaac), and his wife, Lindsay Crane‑Martín (Mulligan). That explosive encounter sparks a series of manipulative moves and power plays involving both couples as they handle social dynamics within the elite club and seek favor from the club’s billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh‑jung).

‘Stranger Things: Tales from ‘85’

Watch On

“Stranger Things: Tales from ’85” is an animated spinoff of Netflix’s hit “Stranger Things” franchise, developed by Eric Robles with original creators Matt and Ross Duffer and other executive producers attached. The series reunites many of the familiar Hawkins characters (in animated form with a new voice cast), and aims to revisit the town of Hawkins in a distinctly retro animated style reminiscent of 1980s cartoons, expanding the popular universe and bringing it to life in a fresh visual format.

Set in the winter of 1985 between the events of the show’s second and third seasons, the series brings back Eleven, Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin and Max as they return to Hawkins, Indiana, where strange occurrences begin after they settle into everyday activities like Dungeons & Dragons and snowball fights. Beneath the frozen town’s surface, new monsters and a paranormal mystery emerge, prompting the group to investigate and confront these unexplained threats to their community.

‘Apex’

Watch On

One survival thriller I’ve been excited about ever since the first trailer was released is “Apex.” The movie is directed by Baltasar Kormákur, a filmmaker well-versed in adventure and survival stories set in the outdoors. He has previously directed and produced tense, real-world inspired movies such as “Against the Ice” and “Everest.” What makes “Apex” even more impressive is the physical commitment required from the cast, with Charlize Theron taking on demanding stunts herself, including mountain climbing and kayaking.

“Apex” follows Sasha (Theron), a grieving rock climber who seeks solitude in the rugged Australian wilderness, only to find herself in a chilling hunt when Ben (Taron Egerton) begins stalking her with lethal intent. As Sasha contends with dangerous terrain like cliffs and rivers, she must use all her physical skill and resilience to stay ahead of her pursuer. Tommy (Eric Bana) also appears in the story, possibly connected to Sasha’s past.
