Dirk Meyer Announced New AMD CEO
AMD’s current chief executive officer Hector Ruiz is stepping down and handing his role to Dirk Meyer, who has been elected president and CEO of AMD, effective immediately.
Ruiz will remain with AMD as chairman of the board, finalizing AMD’s Asset Light (Smart) strategy, which is rumored to include the sale of AMD’s fabs.
