Vodafone’s offering up an obscene amount of mobile data like it’s no biggie — get 400GB for AU$36.50 p/m

You want to get nuts? C'mon, let's get nuts — Vodafone has just unleashed an incredible deal for new customers that's so outrageous it borders on the absurd. I'd argue that the Joker is behind this, but even he couldn't reach this level of madness.

Right now, Vodafone is offering a 50% discount across all three of its SIM only mobile plans for the first six months, which means you can nab its epic 'Large' plan with 400GB of monthly data for just AU$73 p/m AU$36.50 p/m.

If my bat-calculations are correct, that works out to AU$0.09 per GB, which is the best dollars-to-data ratio I've seen from any mobile plan ever. That’s not simply a generous offer — that’s the work of a value-minded super-telco.

Vodafone has halved the price of all its SIM-only plans for the first six months, dropping the 400GB Large plan to AU$36.50 p/m, which is an incredible deal, while the 60GB Small and 200GB Medium plans fall to AU$26.50 and AU$31.50 p/m respectively. This offer expires on May 4, 2026 (unless extended). T&Cs apply.

However, from a value standpoint, it simply makes more sense to live large with more data when the price difference between these discounted plans is so minimal — I know that's what I would do.

Just to be clear, once the six-month introductory period ends, your mobile plan will return to the full monthly rate. The good news is that Vodafone’s SIM-only plans are month-to-month with no lock-in contracts, so you can easily switch to a cheaper plan or vanish like a bat in the night once the discount wraps up.

If you're looking for an obscene amount of mobile data to play with, this deal is about as good as it gets. Of course, I wouldn't wait around too long to swoop on this, as this offer is set to expire on May 4, 2026 (unless extended).
