Unlimited data plans are expensive. But the good news is that they don't have to be. Prepaid carriers — such as Metro by T-Mobile — require that you pay upfront every month, but in turn they offer cheaper plans than postpaid carriers.

For example, right now you can get unlimited 5G data on Metro by T-Mobile for just $15/month for your first 3 months. After the initial period, you'll still pay a low $25/month with AutoPay. The plan includes unlimited talk, text, and data as well as a 5-year price guarantee and all taxes/fees.

Unlimited 5G data: for $15/month @ Metro by T-Mobile

Unlimited 5G data: for $15/month @ Metro by T-Mobile
Metro by T-Mobile is offering its one-line unlimited 5G data plan for just $15/month for your first 3 months. Additionally, this rate is locked in for 5 years. Taxes and fees are included. You get unlimited 5G data, unlimited talk/text, T-Mobile Tuesdays (exclusive deals), and Scam Shield. After your first 3 months are over, you'll pay $25/mont which is still a steal.

If you're not familiar with Metro by T-Mobile, it's part of T-Mobile's portfolio of brands. (It was formerly known as MetroPCS). We like it for its budget-friendly plans which are significantly cheaper than plans you'd find on Verizon or AT&T. There are now activation fees, contracts, or credit checks. And the best part is that it runs on T-Mobile's 5G network.

That said, there are a few things worth noting. First, if you use a lot of data (more than 35GB/mo), you may notice slower speeds when T-Mobile's network is busy. Additionally, video streams in SD. Otherwise, you get the same speedy, reliable access to T-Mobile's 5G network that a postpaid subscriber would get.

You must bring your own phone to take advantage of this deal, but there are always plenty of cell phone deals you can check out. Just be sure to act fast because there's no telling when this deal may end.
