There are plenty of luxury hotel mattresses on sale this Labor Day, but this is the hybrid I’d snap up

Saatva is a luxury sleep brand and Classic is the company's flagship model, and after extensive price-tracking research, it's the only luxury mattress I'd buy right now. Today you can save $400 off the Classic at Saatva, with a queen down to $1,739.

It's pretty obvious why I'd want the Classic: it received a five-star stamp of approval from us, taking the top spot in our best mattress buying guide. But what's not so obvious is why I would buy it right now.

Well, it's because we're almost certainly going to see widespread mattress tariff price increases, and you'll likely end up paying more by Black Friday than you would today. The MSRP of the Classic already saw a slight increase earlier this summer, too.

So, while I'd absolutely recommend that you head straight for our Labor Day mattress sales live blog to find all the latest deals, the Saatva Classic is the only luxury bed I'd buy in this month's Labor Day mattress sales.

Saatva Classic: twin was $1,399 now $999 at Saatva
The Saatva Classic is the best hybrid mattress we've tested and it outperforms many much more expensive beds. It scored full marks in our Saatva Classic mattress review where we concluded that, thanks to its comfort, support, and pressure point relief, not to mention its breathability, great motion isolation and excellent build quality, this is the ideal choice for most sleepers. The Saatva Labor Day sale will get a queen Classic for $1,739 (was $2,139) when you click our link; that's an excellent price and the price may rise again before Black Friday. So if you need a new mattress and like the Classic, now is the time to buy.

Honestly, I'd love to be able to come out of leftfield and point you towards something new and different and exciting, but the simple pragmatic fact is that you'll find the Saatva Classic heading up so many of our buying guides because it's a reliably outstanding luxury mattress.

Basically, it does nearly everything right. It gives you a choice of three firmness options and two heights, so you can be sure it'll be a good fit on your bed and it'll deliver just the right amount of comfort, pressure relief and support for your needs.

It's thoughtfully constructed with a thick quilted pillow top, CertiPUR-US certified foams and two layers recycled tempered steel coils.

It's good at motion isolation and while it doesn't pack any specific cooling features, its innerspring construction and low foam content means that it's breathable enough to maintain a comfortably neutral temperature.

The best Saatva mattress sale you'll get on the Classic, outside of a major holiday sale, is up to $300 off the queen and $200 off the twin XL. So this Labor Day you can save nearly twice as much on the smaller sizes.

What to expect from your new Saatva mattress

When you buy a Saatva Classic mattress it'll be built to order, which means you'll have to wait longer for it to arrive than you would with an ordinary mattress in a box. And it won't come in a box, either:

Saatva mattresses are delivered flat, which means they haven't been compressed, vacuum-packed and left in a warehouse for ages.

Fortunately it comes with free white glove delivery so it'll be deposited directly onto your bed; Saatva will even take your old mattress away for free if you arrange this in advance. And with a lifetime warranty included, you can be sure that this mattress will last you for years to come.
