The best mattress sales in Australia in September 2025: score the best price on our top-rated mattresses

Going for practically half price across all sizes, this is arguably one of the best deals we've seen since EOFY on any mattress! Getting a queen size for under AU$600 is ridiculously cheap, and that means you can get a king for AU$636! If that isn't a bargain, we don't know what is. Just from a budget point of view, this is an excellent mattress to invest in, but please note that our reviewer found it sleeps firmer than rated by the manufacturer and may not suit all kinds of sleepers. So it's a good thing you get a lengthy 120-night trial.

We haven't reviewed this specific Origin mattress ourselves, but we loved its cheaper sibling in our Origin Hybrid Mattress review. However, at 41% off, we think it represents excellent value for money as this adds a removable cover and a flippable adjustable firmness layer that's not available on any other Origin mattress. And given we think both the Hybrid and the LumbarCloud offer excellent orthopaedic support, we think the Hybrid Plus will too. We're in the process of reviewing this mattress but early impressions are quite positive. According to our reviewer, it's slightly softer than what she experienced in her Origin Hybrid Mattress review, but otherwise sleeps very much the same. While we didn't score the Emma Luxe Pro mattress review very well due to it not feeling as 'luxe' as we had expected and found the materials used to be of poorer quality, it might well suit some sleepers. Admittedly this isn't a great discount as AU$100 may not be here or there, but Macoda has just the one mattress in its arsenal that stands out from the competition by offering two memory foam layers that are both flippable to adjust between plush, medium and firm – all three in one bed! No need to tussle with customer service for changing out your foam. More often than not, the bigger mattress sizes tend to be quite expensive, even when discounted. However, this hybrid option is fantastic value for money with the current AU$380 discount across all sizes — and brings the king size to an affordable AU$870. Not only is it our pick for the best mattress for side sleepers, but it scored well in our Valmori Hybrid Mattress II review for being a suitable all-rounder.

While the Origin website says the LumbarCloud – its most premium mattress – gets the highest discount (45% off), it's actually only just 39% off for the king size. Still, that's a significant saving on the biggest size, and a mattress that we said was like sleeping on a cloud in our Origin LumberCloud review, and that's without compromising orthopaedic support.
