How to watch Tour Championship 2025: live stream FedEx Cup golf online, TV channels, Round 1 tee times

He's the first player since Tiger Woods to win five PGA Tour events in consecutive seasons, but can Scottie Scheffler go one better? Nobody has won back-to-back FedEx Cup titles, and although the starting strokes format has been scrapped — meaning everyone starts at level-par — there's a sense that it hasn't hurt Scheffler's chances one jot.

2025 Tour Championship: TV schedule, dates

Dates: Thursday, August 21 to Sunday, August 24
• Round 1 start time: 11:15 a.m. ET / 8:16 a.m. PT / 4:16 p.m. BST / 1:16 a.m. AEST (Fri.)
• U.S. — Golf Channel & NBC via Sling / Peacock / ESPN Select
• U.K. — Sky Sports

In previous seasons, as the FedEx Cup Playoffs points leader Scheffler would have started at 10-under, two clear of Rory McIlroy, followed by J.J. Spaun (7-under), Justin Rose (6-under), Tommy Fleetwood (5-under), Ben Griffin (4-under), Russell Henley (3-under), Sepp Straka (2-under), Bob MacIntyre (1-under), and with everyone else on par.

However, that's no longer the case, and the Tour Championship will instead play like a regular 72-holer. And here's the really crucial detail: whoever wins at East Lake will lift the FedEx Cup title, irrespective of the points standings.

The points that the players have spent the season accumulating aren't completely meaningless. They've earned them serious money over the course of the campaign. However, there'll be a few near the top of the standings who'd happily cash a check or two in for a multi-stroke lead over the pack.
