The Premier League is still in its infancy, but who has taken their first faltering steps and who has sick all over their bib?

Sports journalist and Man City fan Bill Borrows sizes up Week 03 of the EPL...

GAME OF THE WEEK...

⚽ Arsenal vs Liverpool - Sun, Aug. 31 at 4.30 p.m. BST

As predicted, Liverpool are proving to be less than watertight at the back and this is the time of the season when Arsenal flatter to deceive so expect a home win and the unholy alliance of Arsenal Fan TV and the red-trousered Tarquins in the Club and Diamond level seats at The Emirates to become over-excited. They won't admit it - not even to themselves - but this will be when Liverpool first begin to sense that last year's title success was a flash in the pan.

Prediction: Arsenal 2 Liverpool 1

GAME CHANGER (Keep your eye on this one)...

👀 Burnley vs Man United - Sat, Aug 30 at 3 p.m. BST

Quite frankly, if United can't get a result here then all bets are off on Ruben Amorim making it to Xmas as manager. The embarrassing result against League 2 Grimsby in mid-week saw him rocking backwards and forwards in the dug out, playing some kind of magnetic travel football game at one point and even unable to watch the disastrous penalty shoot-out. This weekend, United will equalize in the last 5 minutes while Amorim is bidding for a table lamp one bay and then undeservedly take all three points in the last minute while he is playing hide and seek with assistant first team coach Adélio Cândido behind the James Hargreves Stand.

Prediction: Burnley 1 Man United 2

THE PLAYER TO WATCH...

🚀 André Onana (Man United)

Andre Onana of Manchester United looks dejected after failing to save a penalty from Darragh Burns (not pictured) of Grimsby Town during the Carabao Cup Second Round match between Grimsby Town and Manchester United at Blundell Park on August 27, 2025 in Grimsby, England.

A very difficult opponent who is hard to ignore. Onana is a real danger in the box and defenders are understandably wary of his presence. United will be under strict instructions to double up on him and expect him at either the near or far post, wherever the ball isn't.

EXTRA TIME...

⏱️ EXTRA TIME... Will Mourinho ever go away?

Head coach Jose Mourinho gestures during the UEFA Champions League Third Qualifying Round Second Leg match between Fenerbahce and Feyenoord at Ulker Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on August 12, 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey.

We get it by now. He's been sacked by yet another club after turning up, slagging off the previous manager, telling everyone how great he is and how bad the players are that he's inherited, he's stopped the team conceding as many goals, seen them climb a few places, perhaps even delivered a minor trophy, fallen out with everyone as form begins to tail off and been sacked. And now he's being linked with the manager's job at every struggling Premier League Club. When will the pantomime ever end? Mourinho for Man United you say? Here we go again...
