Netflix top 10 shows — here's the 3 worth watching right now
The top 3 trending Netflix shows you should be streaming

Netflix is always releasing new shows and movies, and while that's an obvious plus for the streaming service, it can make choosing your next watch quite the task.
The Netflix top 10 list can be an easy way to cut through the noise, but you can't always guarantee that what's trending will be worth a watch. That's precisely why I keep a close eye on what's currently in Netflix's charts and regularly highlight the top three shows in the mix.
Right now, the streamer's charts are stuffed with solid choices, but seeing as "The Waterfront" and "Squid Game" season 3 have both been in the charts for weeks now, I figured it was time to swap them out.
So, my top three picks are a newly-launched mystery thriller, a new Netflix drama, and a Canadian romantic drama perfect for "Virgin River" fans.
This article was recently updated and is now based on what was in the Netflix U.S. Top 10 as of 9.30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

'Leanne'
Stand-up comedian Leanne Morgan turns real-life heartbreak into sitcom gold in a new comedy based on her hit Netflix special, “I’m Every Woman,” and co-created by Chuck Lorre. It’s about picking up the pieces — while experiencing a hot flash or two — after your husband of 33 years leaves you.
Morgan plays a grandmother suddenly thrust back into the dating pool. She leans on her loud, loving family, including sister Carol (Kristen Johnston), as she discovers it’s never too late for a fresh start.

'The Hunting Wives'
"The Hunting Wives" is Netflix’s latest sudsy obsession, a sultry suburban thriller full of dirty secrets and dirtier politics. Brittany Snow stars as Sophie, a liberal-leaning mom fresh from Cambridge who gets seduced into the local elite’s gun-toting, wife-swapping inner circle — led by Malin Akerman’s deliciously feral Margo Banks.
What starts as flirty fun with the local wives’ club spirals into secrets, affairs, and, naturally, a dead teenager. It's messy, sexy and absolutely shameless, in the best way. No wonder it’s already been holding fort near the top of Netflix's top 10 list since premiering on July 21.

'Amy Bradley Is Missing'
A family cruise to paradise turned into a nightmare in 1998 when 23-year-old Amy Lynn Bradley vanished without a trace from the balcony of her cabin aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas. "Amy Bradley Is Missing" digs into the baffling case, retracing the Bradleys’ decades-long search across continents, fueled by unconfirmed sightings and unanswered questions.
With a crime scene that literally sailed away, the three-part Netflix docuseries explores shifting theories, haunting eyewitness accounts and the mystery that still grips true-crime diehards. One question remains: How does someone disappear in the middle of the ocean?
