Good sleep is important any night of the week. But the night before running 26.2 miles, it's pretty crucial. Without it, neither your body or mind would be up to the enduring challenge over 1.1 millions runners globally now complete each year.

Having just completed my second marathon, I've learnt a thing or two about endurance running. Put simply: 1) It's a mental as much as a physical challenge. 2) Carbs are good for you. 3) Quality sleep is your best friend.
