I tested this new 3-in-1 MagSafe charger that doubles as a power bank — and it's powerful enough to charge a MacBook Neo

One thing that annoys me more than anything else during my commute is carrying a heavy backpack. Normally, I’m lugging around extra peripherals like power adapters and cables for every gadget I own, but I don’t have to bother with them anymore.

That’s because I’ve been carrying the Statik SmartCharge Pro, a 15,000 mAh power bank that does way more than just juice up my phone. It features a wireless charging pad for my iPhone and AirPods, but unlike other portable 3-in-1 MagSafe chargers I’ve tested, it can also charge my Apple Watch.

Forget all of your power chargers and cables for your devices because the Statik SmartCharge Pro is a power bank with built-in wireless charging and offers up to 60W wired charging to supply power to laptops like the MacBook Neo. If that's not enough, it has a space saving foldable plug design.

First and foremost, the Statik SmartCharge Pro can replace most laptop power adapters because it effectively functions as a 60W GaN wall charger. This is more than enough to juice up laptops like the MacBook Neo, MacBook Air M4, and many of the best Windows laptops on the market.

I love the integrated USB-C cable; it easily connects to my laptop and then neatly tucks back into the unit when I’m finished. If you’re used to hauling a hefty laptop brick and various other chargers, you’ll appreciate how much the SmartCharge Pro lightens your load.

Secondly, it covers practically every other gadget I carry. From the phones I test, like the new Pixel 10a and iPhone 17e, to my Google Pixel Buds Pro 2, this power bank is more than capable of charging them all. The wireless charging pad is a natural fit for my phones and earbuds, but surprisingly, it can also charge my Apple Watch. This feature sets it apart from other power banks I’ve tested, which usually require a separate dongle or attachment to charge an Apple Watch.

You still get one USB-C and one USB-A port for other devices, while a small display shows the remaining charge. When it's time to top off the bank itself, the SmartCharge Pro has its own integrated plug. It’s a smart design that eliminates the need for yet another accessory just to recharge the unit.

To tell you the truth, it’s the only charger I carry on my daily commute. At $99, its level of utility is unprecedented for a power bank, and I would gladly recommend it.
