It's been 7 months since I tested EgoHome's budget memory foam mattress — here's why it's still delivering better comfort than some luxury hybrid beds I've slept on

I went through a phase of only testing luxury hybrids, and somewhere along the way I grew to (mistakenly) think that memory foam mattresses, especially the budget ones, weren't as good. That was until I tested the ultra-comfy EgoHome Black 12" Mattress, down to $270 (was $449) at EgoHome.

My team's mission is to help readers choose the best mattress for their needs, so naturally that requires me to test a lot of mattresses myself.

EGOHOME Black 12" Memory Foam Mattress : was $699 now $333 at EGOHOME Mattress

This EgoHome Mattress is down to $333 for a queen (was $699) when you use the code COZYNIGHT to save an extra 10%. This is the same price I spotted during Black Friday, and it's great value considering the build quality, and the comfort and support it delivers. You'll also get a 100-night sleep trial, free shipping, and a 10-year warranty.

1. It's supportive right up to the edge

I already mentioned how supportive it is for all sleepers, but did I mention its edge support. This means I can sleep right up to the edges of the mattress without feeling I'm gonna roll out of bed.

You'd be surprised how unstable some mattresses feel, especially all-foam mattresses, but the EGOHOME feels safe and secure all over.

2. It has a Goldilocks feel

The EGOHOME is our best side sleeper pick in our best memory foam mattress guide, but the truth is that its balanced medium-firm feel makes it amazing for all sleepers.

I've never had any problems sleeping in different positions on the EGOHOME Black 12" Memory Foam Mattress. No lower back pain, sore shoulders, or discomfort.

While memory foam beds have a reputation for being too hard or too soft, this one is just right.

3. It's great value for money

Regularly under $400 for a queen means the EGOHOME Black 12" Memory Foam Mattress has earned a place in our best cheap mattress guide.

When I consider how beautifully it's made (looks don't matter, but this is a fabulous looking mattress) and how it's performed consistently well through all four seasons, I have to commend the EGOHOME's great value for money.

If you prefer a firmer foam mattress...

While I love the EGOHOME, we didn't crown it the best cheap mattress overall. Nope, that distinction goes to the Siena Signature Mattress.

While I wasn't the main tester for our Siena Memory Foam Mattress review, I was part of its vigorous retests so I can vouch for its quality and performance.

It's a little too firm for me, but my stomach sleeping colleague Ruth Jones loves it...

Siena 10" Signature Memory Foam Mattress (queen)
Top budget pick
Siena 10" Signature Memory Foam Mattress (queen): was $707 now $359 at Siena

The Siena Signature is our top budget choice in our best mattress for stomach sleepers guide thanks to its firm support, temperature regulation, and the way it dampens motion for couples. At $359 for a queen in the Presidents' Day sales (it used to be $379 until the new Siena mattress sales, the Siena comes with a 180-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty.
