Built using eco-friendly materials with a silky soft finish, the Simba Earth Escape mattress wouldn't seem out of place in a five-star hotel. And if you shop now you'll get a free bedding bundle with the Earth Escape mattress at Simba, including pillows and duvets, for a luxury bed transformation.

I tested the Simba Earth Escape and I think it's one of the best mattresses you can buy for luxurious support. The design utilizes natural materials to create a breathable feel, while the microcoil support keeps even restless sleepers cradled all night long.

In my Simba Earth Escape mattress review I praised the head-to-toe support of this eco-friendly bed. Its complex build features layers of wool and microsprings, creating responsive support that still delivers exceptional cushioning. At £1,699 for a double it's an investment mattress but right now you'll also get a bedding bundle featuring pillows, duvet and mattress topper, worth up to £836 — so if your whole bed is feeling worse for wear, you can upgrade for less. Lightweight side sleepers might prefer a softer mattress (the Earth Apex mattress at Simba promises a plusher build) but for back, stomach and average weight side sleepers, the Earth Escape has a luxurious feel with cozy cushioning.

Why I recommend the Simba Earth Escape mattress...

The Simba Earth Escape mattress looks and feels indulgent. The natural viscose cover is as soft as silk while the tufted surface creates responsive cushioning — the materials respond quickly to pressure, contouring to your body as soon as you move.

The support is also exceptional. The Earth Escape mattress features three spring layers — two layers of microcoils and a spring base — to keep every part of the body lifted and aligned.

Plenty of springs also means lots of airflow which, combined with the breathable wool layers, makes the Earth Escape a good mattress for hot sleepers.

While Simba describes the Earth Escape as "medium firm / plush" on the mattress firmness scale, I thought it leaned closer to firm. As a result, some side sleepers might prefer a bed with a softer feel. However, Simba does offer a 200-night mattress trial so you can test it out at home.
