Le Creuset Just Dropped a New Modern Heritage Collection To Celebrate Its 100th Anniversary — and You Can Buy It Right Now
Le Creuset adds a modern twist to its iconic design

Le Creuset is an old favorite among culinary professionals and home cooks, and the brand’s 100-year history certainly reflects its success.
To commemorate the centenary of quality cast-iron cookware, Le Creuset has just launched a new collection that pays homage to the past while looking to the future. The Modern Heritage Collection pays tribute to a century of uncompromising quality and meticulous details, designed to stand the test of time.
Just like its predecessors, the Modern Heritage Collection is intended to be passed down from one kitchen to the next. But this time around, it takes on a fresh style with a modern appeal, combining scalloped side handles, softer angles, and stainless-steel looped lid handles.
I’ll have to pass judgement on the scalloped handles, as I'm not sure how I feel about them, being so different to what I’ve come to expect from Le Creuset. However, I do like the modern stainless steel handle on the lid.
And there's no doubting that Le Creuset produces some of the best cast iron skillets and casseroles on the market, with price points to match.
Le Creuset's latest cookware collection, the Modern Heritage Collection, features three iconic pieces, including this Round Dutch Oven. With scalloped handles, and a stainless steel lid handle, the design encompasses a modern take on tradition.
Three new designs
Le Creuset’s Modern Heritage Collection feature three designs, including a Round Dutch Oven, ideal for slow-cooking, braising, roasting, and baking, available for $420 at Le Creuset.
It also features a shallower Round Braiser, with a wide base, suitable for shallow frying and steaming. The shallow design also makes it perfect to move straight from the cooktop to table, and it's available for $380 at Le Creuset.

The collection is complete with the Oval Gratin, which features a low-profile design that allows heat to circulate for optimal browning or crisping. It is designed for baking, roasting, and casseroles and is available for $160 at Le Creuset.
Each of the enamelled cast iron items are available in seven colorways, including Cerise, Flame, Artichaut, Sea Salt, Oyster, Brioche, and Matte White. I already know which one is my favorite — I'll be adding the Dutch Oven in Sea Salt to my shopping basket.
