There’s nothing shy about KitchenAid's stand mixers. Apart from crafting the best stand mixers you can buy, no other kitchen appliance brand comes close in terms of color. In fact, choosing a KitchenAid stand mixer is like walking into a candy shop. There’s so much choice, it’s overwhelming.
To add to the conundrum of choosing your favorite colorway, KitchenAid has just launched its Color of the Year for 2026. And I’m thinking, surely KitchenAid has already covered all bases?
The new arrival is Spearmint. It’s a light, minty-green hue, and a welcome sight that reminds me of spring.
However, don't get too excited. The Spearmint colorway hasn’t cast its way across the whole range of stand mixers yet; in fact, it’s only available on KitchenAid’s Series 5-Quart Tilt-head stand mixer, $549 at KitchenAid, while in the the U.K. it's £699 at KitchenAid.
KitchenAid has debuted its new Color of the Year, Spearmint, with this stand mixer. The appliance comes with a luxury accessory pack, including two bowls, a pastry beater, a flat-edge beater, a whisk, a dough hook, and a pouring shield. An also include a central hub to house extra attachments, such as a pasta maker.
An energizing 1950s vibe
I’ve already mentioned that choosing a color for a KitchenAid stand mixer leaves you in the same quandary as a child standing in a candy shop. And, this brings me onto Spearmint’s retro vibe. It evokes the 1950s with its turquoise hue. KitchenAid describes Spearmint as a “light and vibrant hue” that "provides a calming, yet revitalizing energy.”
But what may take a bit of getting used to is that instead of a smooth surface, this new colorway has a tactile, sandy finish.
However, if KitchenAid's new Color of the Year for 2026 is a little too bright for your taste, the same model is available in Pistachio — a softer alternative with a green hue — and it’s currently reduced to $379 at Amazon.
Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips.
Alternatively, if you’d prefer a color that's on the cooler spectrum, you could opt for the stand mixer in Blue Velvet, which is $379 at Amazon.
