IKEA just released its cutest lamp to date — and it’s the perfect nightlight for kids

When I saw IKEA’s latest product launch, I couldn’t help but reminisce when my grown-up kids were, well, smaller kids. Having a chance to go to town on designing their bedrooms and choosing colorful textiles and decorative accessories was a dream come true for a mom obsessed with interiors.

Seeing IKEA’s GREJSIMOJS LED table lamp for $39, took me back to those times, when I was buying colorful IKEA storage to keep their toys tidy, and equipping their rooms with wacky accessories. I just hope they got as much fun out of their bedrooms as I did.

Luckily, two decades on, IKEA is still acing it in the kids department, and doesn’t disappoint in offering quality, fun and practical products at affordable prices.

As we’ve come to expect from the Swedish store, the Grejsimojs LED table lamp features a playful, colorful design, appealing to animal lovers. The dog-shaped lamp has a replaceable light source, and is dimmable — making it perfect to use during the day and night.

Those little anxious sleepers who get scared in the dark can seek comfort with the low glow of a cute animal.

The light is also glare-free, making it gentle on the eyes, and the brightness can be changed by simply pressing the dog's head. Apart from being fun to look at, even when it’s not turned on, it’s fun to operate, whatever your age.

The GREJSIMOJS LED table lamp will add a spark of joy to any bedroom, whether you are a big kid or a little kid, and the dog design will appeal to any animal lover. What's more, it's also clever, and the table lamp has a smart memory function, which ensures the light always turns on at the same brightness level as when you last used it. The light has a life expectancy of approximately 25,000 hours (corresponding to 20 years if the lamp is on for three hours per day).

The lamp has a blue plastic body with the light forming the head, and it measures 11 (H) x 12 (L) x 7 (W) inches, with a 6.6-foot power cord. It’s recommended for children, three years and older.
