When is 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey' coming to streaming? Here's our best guess
Here's when you might be able to watch 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey' at home

"A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" teams Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell up for a fantasy-tinged drama that sees single strangers Sarah (Robbie) and David (Farrell) drawn together through a twist of fate. After crossing paths at a wedding, they're thrown together on an adventure wherein they get to relive important moments from their pasts.
That title sure sounds like it promises a whimsical watch, and the trailer suggested it'd be an emotional adventure, but it seems like "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" hasn't quite connected with viewers yet.
That's based on the initial reaction to "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey," which hasn't been too encouraging. Reviews haven't been too kind — it's rated 59% from fans and 37% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes — and the new release failed to make a splash at the box office, too.
Given that cool reception, if you're planning on watching Kogonada's "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" at home, we don't currently have a confirmed streaming or digital release date for "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey." However, I've tried to predict when the romance will be available to stream at home below.
When is 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey' coming to streaming?
At the time of writing, the only way to watch "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" is by heading to your nearest movie theater, and that'll be the case for a little while yet. After all, the movie only hit the big screen on September 19.
The first place you'll be able to stream "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" will be via rental or purchase on premium video-on-demand (PVOD) storefronts like Prime Video or Apple TV.
We don't have a confirmed PVOD release date for "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" just yet, but based on the typical wait for Sony Pictures movies, I'd guess that "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" would release digitally in late October or early November.

That's based on the fact that it typically takes around four to six weeks for a new Sony movie to get a digital release. Recent examples include "28 Years Later", which dropped one month after its May premiere, "Until Dawn" (dropped four weeks after its theatrical release), and the six-week wait for "Karate Kid: Legends."
We also don't yet have a confirmed "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" streaming date, either. However, we do know that Sony movies head to Netflix first and, assuming "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" follows a similar release pattern, I'm going to try and predict one here.
Right now, my best guess at a potential streaming date is that "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" will come to Netflix in late December or early January 2026. Plus, as Sony's movies seem to be dropping on Netflix on Saturdays, I'd guess December 20, 27, or January 3, or 10, 2026, could be days to watch out for.
My guess is based on the fact we usually wait anywhere between three and four months for Sony's releases to come to Netflix: 28 Years Later" literally just came to Netflix on September 20, three months after its release (roughly the same amount of time we waited for "Until Dawn"), but "Karate Kid: Legends" won't be on Netflix until Saturday, September 27 (four months on from its theatrical debut).
Of course, this is still just speculation, and that less-than-stellar reception could mean we see "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" arrive sooner than expected. As soon as we get a confirmed streaming date for "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey," I'll be sure to include it here.

If it’s in the theaters or available to stream somewhere, he’s probably watched it… especially if it has a dragon in it. Before joining the team, he was a Staff Writer at What To Watch where he wrote about a broad range of shows that stretched from "Doctor Who" and "The Witcher" to "Bridgerton" and "Love Island". When he’s not watching the next must-see movie or show, he’s probably still in front of a screen playing massive RPGs, reading, spending a fortune on TCGs, or watching the NFL.
