After 455 days, Tom Aspinall returns to defend the heavyweight title against brute, Ciryl Gane, who takes his third shot at the heavyweight title. Aspinall's elite finishing ability makes him a real threat for Gane who will be relying on his technique to defeat the Brit. A matchup that sees power take on finesse and potentially Gane's last shot at the belt, there's so much on the line this Saturday at UFC 321.
Last time out, Aspinall (15-3) took on Curtis Blaydes in a fight that ended in one minute, avenging his only defeat in the UFC. Since then, Aspinall has spent that last year and a half trying to get Jon Jones to to lay it all on the table in a fight that would have the whole world watching. Unfortunately for UFC fans, that matchup fell flat on its face when Jones announced his retirement. Now, Aspinall moves onto what's most important, defending the belt. Gane returns for the first time since December 2024, when he won via split-decision against Alexander Volkov, bouncing back from two failed championship bids against Ngannou and Jones.
Taking place at UFC 321 is also the fight for the vacant women's strawweight belt as Virna Jandiroba takes on Mackenzie Dern in the co-main event. This stacked event also has more heavyweight drama as Jailton Almedia fights Alexander Volkov as both look to climb the heavyweight ranks for a title shot.
