September sees us back in "The Boys" universe for the second season of this collegiate spinoff. "Gen V" season 2 brings us back to Godolkin University (the superhero-only college) for more trouble. School is back in session, and a mysterious new Dean (Hamish Linklater) has arrived, preaching a curriculum that promises to make Godolkin's students even more powerful than ever.

Meanwhile, war is brewing between humans and superheroes (both on and off campus), and the gang discovers a secret program that goes back to the founding of Godolkin, one with bigger implications than they realize ... and somehow Marie (Jaz Sinclair) is part of it.

Watch On

If you're in the market for a light action-drama or want to take a trip to the Amalfi Coast without leaving your sofa, then "Hotel Costiera" looks like the show you'll want to stream in September. Billed as a "fast-paced" series with a "gripping storyline," "Hotel Costiera" follows half-Italian former Marine Daniel De Luca (Jesse Williams) back to Italy, where he works as a fixer at one of the world's most luxurious hotels in Positano.

Daniel's on hand to fix the wealthy guests' problems, but the series also sees him working to track down Alice, the daughter of one of the hotel's owners, who disappeared a month earlier — and facing the people who kidnapped her promises to be his toughest challenge yet.

Watch On

"The Girlfriend" is a six-part psychological drama that brings Michelle Frances' novel of the same name to Prime Video. This twisting battle of wits sees Laura (Robin Wright) going toe-to-toe with Cherry (Olivia Cooke), her son's new partner.

On the surface, Laura has it all: a perfect career, a loving husband, and a perfect son. But when Daniel (Laurie Davidson) brings Cherry home, that perfect life starts to unravel, and she looks to have a very formidable opponent on her hands. Following their first introduction, Laura becomes convinced that Cherry has some sort of ulterior motive. Is she really a social climber, or is Laura just paranoid? The truth must be a matter of perspective...

Watch On

"The Runarounds" is a new series from the creators of Netflix's popular YA drama, "Outer Banks," and it's inspired by (and stars) a real-life band of the same name. The eight-episode music drama follows a group of recent high school graduates from Wilmington, North Carolina, who come together and form a rock band.

Over the course of one unforgettable summer, the bandmates throw themselves into realizing that dream — falling in love, getting into trouble, and forging strong bonds along the way. Expect romance, raw highs and lows, and original music from the real band when this coming-of-age series drops at the start of September.

If it’s in the theaters or available to stream somewhere, he’s probably watched it… especially if it has a dragon in it. Before joining the team, he was a Staff Writer at What To Watch where he wrote about a broad range of shows that stretched from "Doctor Who" and "The Witcher" to "Bridgerton" and "Love Island". When he’s not watching the next must-see movie or show, he’s probably still in front of a screen playing massive RPGs, reading, spending a fortune on TCGs, or watching the NFL.
