October’s chill is setting in, but Paramount Plus is still bringing the heat, with a fresh wave of series and films rolling onto the platform all month long.
If you’re between shows and scouting your next watch, October delivers the return of “Mayor of Kingstown” for season 4, going back to the McLusky family’s tangle of power plays and uneasy alliances. There's also “Red Alert,” a new documentary that reconstructs a day of terrifying violence and its effects through first-hand accounts and on-the-ground detail.

'Red Alert'
This four-part scripted drama chronicles the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks in Israel through stories of civilians caught up in the crisis. The series focuses on real accounts of ordinary people and first responders as the day unfolds throughout each part.
This haunting portrait of war through the eyes of those who experienced it promises to be an accurate account of what occurred during those fateful days. The entirety of the series will actually air all at once on the anniversary of the attacks, with a local debut on Keshet 12 in Israel the same week.

'Vicious'
Dakota Fanning is Polly, a woman visited in the night by a stranger who leaves her a sealed box with strict rules: make three "offerings." That includes something loved, something hated, and something needed, all before the deadline. Otherwise, she'll face lethal consequences. As Polly scrambles to meet the box’s demands, she realizes just how difficult doing all of what she's been asked will be.

'Mayor of Kingstown' season 4
Jeremy Renner returns as power broker Mike McLusky as he continues to explore the uneasy balance between law enforcement, criminals and everyone in between living in the prison town of Kingstown, Michigan.
Season 4 is set to pick up after Mike confronts the gang war that occurred at the end of season 3, while grappling with the consequences of bringing it on. New characters Frank Moses (Lennie James) and Cindy Stephens (Laura Benanti) will be joining this time around as well, including Edie Falco's Nina Hobbes.
