Granted, games aren't necessarily the best tools to demonstrate whether a business notebook is suited to the corporate workday. Nonetheless, the nc8230's scores show that business notebooks can indeed make decent platforms for 3D gaming, within reasonable limits. They hold up quite well against typical consumer offerings where 3D performance is concerned, but notebooks relying on integrated graphics solutions are clearly at a disadvantage in this area.
Notebooks based on integrated graphics solutions on the other hand clearly have the upper hand when it comes to battery life. However, all other features being equal, they prove to be a little underpowered for playing high-def content in our experience.
