The World Cup final is next weekend — best TV deals with up $1,300 off LG, Samsung, Hisense and Roku
Watch the World Cup final on a gorgeous new screen
The World Cup final is set for July 19th! That means you have just over a week to upgrade your TV and catch every detail in the much-anticipated final match.
We're just off the back of Prime Day and 4th of July says. That means that in many cases, TV prices are unfortunately not at their lowest. But you can still save a lot of cash and get a new set in time to watch the winners lift the trophy.
My biggest recommendation is the TCL 75-inch QM8L 4K Mini-LED TV on sale for $1,999 at Amazon. It's $1,000 off (a 33% discount) and we rank it as the best TV for live sports. Its 144Hz refresh rate means you'll see every action and it has a gorgeously bright and colorful picture. It has sold for less in the past ($1,697), but it's still a fantastic TV at this price.
There are plenty more TV deals out there (including budget-friendly picks,) so keep scrolling to see my favorites.

My favorite TV deals
If you're shopping for an ultra-affordable TV with an emphasis on easy streaming, this Roku Plus Series deal has your name on it. Its modest array of Mini-LEDs allows for better contrast control than what you'll find on cheaper TVs with edge-lit displays, and thanks to its built-in Roku functionality, the Plus Series is very easy to use. This is the TV to get if you're looking for a straightforward software experience.

Hisense's entry-level Mini-LED TV is one of the most affordable ways to secure a 55-inch TV with Mini-LED backlighting. And it's also a Best Buy-exclusive model. In addition to its Mini-LEDs, the U6SF also comes with Fire TV streaming software and full-array local dimming for improved contrast.

The Hisense QD7 is our current winner for the best budget TV. We gave it a 4-star rating in our Hisense QD7 TV review, praising its colorful picture, excellent sound and sharp upscaling. Note — the 75-inch and larger models have a 144Hz refresh rate, but the 65-inch and smaller TVs drop to 60Hz, making them less great for watching live sports.

The TCL QM7K features a bright, colorful picture, its built-in Google TV software (which makes streaming a breeze) and its nifty, contrast-enhancing Mini-LED backlighting stuns. It's also packed with more gaming- and streaming-related features than many TVs in its price range. Our Senior TV Editor, Michael Desjardin, loves this TV, saying: "Since its debut, I've been recommending this TV to friends and family."

As we mentioned in our Hisense U8QG review, this one of the brightest TVs we've ever tested. It's also packed with features for gaming and beyond, too. And, if you're an A/V enthusiast who values picture accuracy, you're sure to appreciate how well-tuned the U8QG is right out of the box.

The Samsung S90F is one of the best mid-range OLED TVs you can buy, and this Prime Day deal brings it down to its lowest price to date. In addition to its stunning, OLED-driven picture, the S90F is also equipped with nearly every streaming- and gaming-related feature you'll find on higher-end Samsung OLED TVs. In our Samsung S90F review, we gave it 4.5 stars and an Editor's Choice award.

The LG C5 is one of my favorite TVs ever. We rank the LG B6 OLED as the best TV you can buy right now, but before that, the LG C5 had the top spot. And it's still one of the greatest value OLED TVs you can buy. We awarded this OLED TV with a rare 5-star rating for its sensational performance, its class-leading selection of features and its approachable price point. This isn't its lowest price ever (it has sold for $1,099 in the past) but it's still an amazing deal.

TCL's flagship QM9K boasts some of the highest brightness numbers we've ever seen. If you have a room with way too much ambient light, the QM9K cuts through it with ease and, thanks to its Halo Control system that includes 5,000 contrast control zones, black levels look exactly how they should.

The LG B6 isn't as bright and colorful as its higher-end sibling, the C6 OLED, but it's practically overflowing with value at its price point. You're still getting perfect black levels, ultra-wide viewing angles and four HDMI 2.1 inputs that support 4K video games at 120Hz.

The TCL QM8L has a super-fast 144Hz refresh rate that makes it ideal for watching live sports. Plus, thanks to its Super Quantum Dot-equipped panel, the 65-inch TCL QM8L is one of the brightest and most-colorful TVs out there. Right now, there's a massive $1,000 discount on this set, so I recommend it to anyone in the market for a brighter, more impressive-looking picture to showcase the World Cup.
