Samsung giveaway teases that Galaxy Unpacked may happen on February 25 — what we know

When is the next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked? It's a question we have every year, and the lack of consistency in Samsung's calendar means that it's almost halfway through February and we're still none the wiser. But now it seems as though the date may have been revealed by, of all things, an official giveaway.

The Samsung Gulf account on X posted details of the giveaway, promising a chance to win either a Galaxy S25 or a Galaxy Watch 8. It's asking users to predict what they think will happen during Galaxy Unpacked, but doesn't mention any specific dates. However, the terms and conditions are a little more revealing.

Diving into the T&Cs reveals this giveaway is actually split into two distinct phases, which seemingly reveal when Galaxy Unpacked will be. Phase one runs from February 2 to February 24, while the second phase runs from February 25 to April 10.

Now, why would a giveaway centered around Galaxy Unpacked end on February 24, then resume the next day? Well, the second phase is labelled as "During and After Galaxy Unpacked," which suggests that the big event is indeed happening on February 25.

Presumably, the giveaway will pivot between the two phases, ditching the older products like Galaxy S25 and focusing on all the new products Samsung announces — like the Galaxy S26.

What to expect from Galaxy Unpacked

The star of the big event will, of course, be the Samsung Galaxy S26, which is set to be joined by the Galaxy S26 Plus and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Ultra is expected to get the biggest upgrades, with rumors suggesting improvements to the camera and a new privacy-focused display that will keep your on-screen data safe from prying eyes.

Meanwhile, the S26 is expected to come with more modest improvements, including a new chipset, larger batteries and maybe a slightly larger 6.3-inch screen. That chipset will either be a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or an Exynos 2600, depending on where you live. We don't know as much about the Plus, with rumors suggesting it's a fairly late addition to the line-up, following initial claims it would be replaced by the Galaxy S26 Edge.

It's also believed that a new pair of Galaxy Buds will be unveiled at the event, alongside details of OneUI 8.5. No doubt the software will include a bunch of new AI upgrades and other enhancements that will ripple down the entire Galaxy lineup.

We're also hoping to hear more about the impending U.S. launch of the Galaxy TriFold, and hopefully details about the future of other products — including the Galaxy Ring and Galaxy XR headset. Though the new phones will no doubt be the stars of the show.
