You don’t have to wait any longer to experience the latest iPhone software because the iOS 27 public beta is finally available. Arriving a little over a month after its reveal at WWDC 2026, this release brings the new Siri and a host of fresh Apple Intelligence features into the fold.

Aside from a sleek visual makeover, iOS 27 introduces a slew of AI tools that prove Apple is serious about giving consumers features that save them time. From the powerful new capabilities of Siri AI to unique, generative AI-powered tools like Reframe, the iOS 27 public beta is set to breathe new life into your device.

Best of all, Apple has extended support for iOS 27 as far back as the iPhone 11 — though only the latest-generation models will have access to Siri AI and the most demanding Apple Intelligence features. If you’re holding onto a supported iPhone, here is how to download the iOS 27 public beta.

How to install the iOS 27 public beta

First, register as an Apple developer if you don't already have an account. It's free and takes just a few minutes. Then open Settings on your iPhone and tap "General." Select "Software Update", then tap "Beta Updates."

If you haven’t done so already, you’ll need to register as an Apple developer account through its beta. Thankfully, it's completely free and takes just a few minutes. Once registered, open Settings on your iPhone and tap "General." Select "Software Update," then tap "Beta Updates."

You should see the option for the iOS 27 Public Beta there. Select it, return to the main update screen, and select Update Now to begin the download. Once the download finishes, you’ll be prompted to install it. The entire installation process will take several minutes, after which your iPhone will automatically restart.

Once it's installed, you can dive right into the most exciting new iOS 27 features. Keep in mind that you'll likely need to sign up for a waitlist to get early access to Siri AI, as it's still technically in beta. Once you're approved, you’ll be able to try out all of its new capabilities, provided you're using a supported iPhone model.

Beyond that, you can immediately tap into other excellent iOS 27 features that don't require a waitlist. These include the ability to create custom digital passes in the Wallet app, the vastly improved Photo Clean Up tool, and much more.
