Soon enough, Disney Plus's already well-stocked streaming library will get an even bigger boost when another streaming service, Hulu, gets folded into its archives next year. But even before that integration happens, Disney will be welcoming a slew of buzzy new titles and returning favorites hitting its extensive library in October 2025.

Among this month's addition is a brand-new Dutch-language original, "The Balloonist," from director Tim Oliehoek; starring Sallie Harmsen, Pieter Embrechts, Beau Minnaert, and more, the tragicomedy centers on a woman whose life is upended when a hot-air balloon pilot crash-lands on her property.

Viewers both young and young at heart will be charmed by "Vampirina: Teenage Vampire," the live-action spin-off of the Disney Channel animated series "Vampirina," which sees Kenzi Richardson as Vee leave Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school

And lovers of both Japanese pop and music documentaries will be pleased to hear about "Traveling with Snow Man," a reality series following the popular Japanese male idol group Snow Man as they travel across Japan, from Okinawa to Hokkaido, exploring different cultures, cuisines and landscapes.

Below, we've rounded up our three top picks of what's coming to Disney Plus this month that deserve a spot on your watchlist. You can also find a complete list of everything new on Disney Plus in October 2025.

"Over the summer, Gaby slowly opens up to her new neighbor, thanks to the growing bond between him and her son," reads the film's synopsis, per the streamer. "But when the balloonist gets too close to her, she clams up again, much to her son’s chagrin. Will she be able to make amends and give herself and her young son a better future?"
