Amazon's October Prime Day sales event has offered up some huge Prime Day TV deals, but buying a new TV isn't the only way you can improve your home streaming set-up before the sales are over.

Alongside (or instead of!) breaking the bank on a new TV set, you could instead improve your sound systems, pick up a fresh streaming device, or if you're looking to save a few bucks, you could always try and lock in lower prices with streaming deals on some of the very best streaming services and live TV streaming services on the market.

Since the clock's ticking on Prime Day, I've pulled together some options across these categories that just might help you level up your home streaming set-up before Prime Day is over this evening.

Prime Day soundbar deals

Aside from a new TV, the best way to improve the home viewing experience is definitely by adding a soundbar into the mix, to make your streaming set-up that little bit more cinematic or even make dialogue just that bit easier to listen to.

TG's Audio Editor Tammy Rogers already rounded up the best Prime Day soundbar deals earlier today, and I've highlighted a handful of those choices below.

Simply put, there are Prime Day soundbar discounts to suit all kinds of budgets and purposes, so you definitely don't need to drop a ton of cash to make your TV viewing that bit more immersive.

Amazon Fire TV Soundbar
Amazon Fire TV Soundbar: was $119 now $89 at Amazon

This smart soundbar connects to your Fire TV for seamless control with one remote, making it even more convenient to control. It packs in Dolby audio (not Atmos) and plugs in easily with an HDMI cable. There's no subwoofer in the box, but if you're after a soundbar that'll improve dialog clarity for stuff like news bulletins, then you're in for a treat.

It's not the biggest soundbar discount we've seen for Prime Day, but that budget-friendly price makes it a worthy option nonetheless.

Streaming device Prime Day deals

Streaming devices used to be all about turning earlier models into a "smart" TV, making it so you can access the full suite of streaming apps even on older hardware.

Nowadays, even the cheapest TV sets come with some sort of onboard software, but you may still find that adding an external streaming device into the mix will improve your viewing experience (here's why you should still buy a streaming device today, if you don't believe me). Luckily, Prime Day has deals on many of the best streaming devices. Here's a handful of the best ones I've seen.

Roku Streaming Stick HD 2025
Lowest price!
Roku Streaming Stick HD 2025: was $29 now $17 at Amazon

Staff Writer, Streaming

Martin is a Streaming Writer at Tom’s Guide, covering all things movies and TV. If it’s in the theaters or available to stream somewhere, he’s probably watched it… especially if it has a dragon in it. Before joining the team, he was a Staff Writer at What To Watch where he wrote about a broad range of shows that stretched from "Doctor Who" and "The Witcher" to "Bridgerton" and "Love Island". When he’s not watching the next must-see movie or show, he’s probably still in front of a screen playing massive RPGs, reading, spending a fortune on TCGs, or watching the NFL.
