WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025, predictions and storylines

  • WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: John Cena (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio
  • WWE Women's World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Nikki Bella
  • Women's WarGames Match: AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Lash Legend & Nia Jax
  • Men's WarGames Match: CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso vs. Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker

From San Diego, California's Petco Park, WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 promises to bring plenty of hard-hitting, brutal action - not least in its two titular WarGames matches.

In the expected PLE main event, it's the men's WarGames contest that pits the all-star babyface team of CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and The Usos up against the nefarious, Paul Heyman-led team of Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and The Vision's Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. With plenty of heated history between various members of those opposing teams - not to mention within each team, too - this could well be the most stacked WWE WarGames bout yet in terms of sheer name power.

When it comes to the match that could well steal the entire PLE, though, that's the women's WarGames offering. Here, we've got AJ Lee teaming with Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair as they go to war with Becky Lynch, Lash Legend, Nia Jax and The Kabuki Warriors. Again, there are so many story threads dotted across this one, be that the beef between Becky and AJ, Rhea and Iyo's rivalry with Asuka and Kairi Sane, or Nia and Lash's recent run of domination and decimation.

Elsewhere, the WWE Women's World Championship is on the line as Stephanie Vaquer defends against Nikki Bella; all in the aftermatch of Nikki turning in La Primera earlier this month. And then, well, then there's the small matter of John Cena's second-to-last match of his career, as Big Match John defends the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio; the man Cena defeated for that title only a matter of weeks ago.
