Malcolm has been with Tom's Guide since 2022. He watches dozens of movies every year, and his favorite "Predator" movie is the original 1987, though he thinks "Predators" is underrated.

Genre: Sci-fi action movie

What's it about? "Predator: Badlands" centers around Dek (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), a young Yautja who crash-lands on a hostile planet with the intent of proving himself by killing the planet's apex predator. But before he can find it, he finds Thia (Elle Fanning), a Weyland-Yutani Corporation android and an unlikely partner in his hunt.

Why you should watch it: This isn't the greatest "Predator" movie ever made, but you'll definitely have a good time with it. There are moments that are too cute, but there are others that feature some "John Wick" level kills that will have any action movie fan excited.

'Urchin' (2025)

Genre: British drama

What's it about? Mike (Frank Dillane) is a drug addict living on the streets of London. In an effort to ensure he can stay high, he robs a bystander who was just trying to help him. That sends him to prison, and now that he's been released, he has to attempt to reintegrate into society.

Why you need to watch it: My colleague Rory Mellon declared this film one of his most underrated movies of 2025. It's the directorial debut of "Babygirl" star Harris Dickinson, and in "Urchin," he crafts a beautifully flawed character in Mike. It's one of the best movies you probably missed in theaters that you can finally stream this month, so don't miss it now that it's on Hulu.

'The Astronaut' (2025)

Genre: Sci-fi horror

What's it about? Sam (Kate Mara) crash-lands on Earth after a mission to the International Space Station, and after her shuttle was hit with debris, she's in quarantine pending an investigation into the crash. There's just one problem: she thinks an alien entity has followed her home from space.

Why you should watch it: The reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are mixed, but some people clearly loved "The Astronaut." With a cast that includes Mara and Laurence Fishburne, it's worth checking out this horror movie to see for yourself if you love it or hate it.
