Missed that critically acclaimed blockbuster in theaters? If you're a cinephile like me, your goal is to see every movie when it comes out in theaters. If you're a parent, like me, you know that sometimes it's just not possible to do that. Heck, I literally watch movies for my job, and even I can't catch every movie when it comes out.
Here's the good news, though: you don't have to. Thanks to an array of streaming services, just about every movie eventually becomes available to stream at home. The question then becomes, which ones should you watch first?
That's why we're here. At Tom's Guide, our staff watches hundreds of movies each year so that we can provide you with an expert opinion on many of the new movies coming to streaming. Below, you'll find our takes on some of the biggest theatrical releases coming to streaming this month, as well as the full calendar of every movie that's finally coming to streaming in February 2026.

Malcolm has been covering the latest in streaming shows and movies since 2023. He's already seen 10 movies this year, including five new releases.
Top movies to stream this February
'Hamnet' (PVOD)
Genre: Historical fiction drama
What's it about? Based on Maggie O'Farrell's novel of the same name, "Hamnet" tells the (somewhat true) tale of Agnes (Jessie Buckley) and William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal). It begins with their budding relationship, then transitions to a story about how their son, Hamnet, influenced one of the greatest plays ever written: "Hamlet."
Why you need to watch it: If you have a soul, this movie will almost certainly make you cry. In my review of "Hamnet," I mentioned how it delivered one emotional hammer blow after another. I also declared Jessie Buckley a future Oscar winner for her performance as Agnes, a prediction that now seems likely to come true.

'Marty Supreme' (PVOD)
Genre: Sports comedy-drama
What's it about? Marty Hauser (Timothée Chalamet) is one of the best table tennis players in the world. But if he wants to be the greatest ever, he'll need to overcome some major obstacles, including his own hubris.
Why you should watch it: My colleague Rory Mellon declared this his number one movie of the year in his top 10 movies of 2025. He praises the film for its pacing, clever dialogue and incredible soundtrack, and having seen this movie myself, I find it hard to disagree. It ultimately made my top 10 list for 2025 as well.
Buy or rent "Marty Supreme" from Amazon [PVOD] starting Feb. 3
'Ella McCay' (Hulu)
Genre: Comedy-drama
What's it about? Ella McCay (Emma Mackey) is an idealistic, overly cheerful politician who quickly finds herself governor when her boss, Governor Bill (Albert Brooks), leaves for the Obama administration. But just as quickly, she finds herself embroiled in scandal, and it's unclear how long she'll manage to stay governor.
Why you should watch it: Look, full disclosure, I liked "Ella McCay" more than most, and even I didn't love it. Jamie Lee Curtis is fun as Ella's aunt, and Albert Brooks is always a delight, but this movie is a bit of a mess. Only check it out if you already have Hulu; it's not worth paying extra money to see.
Stream "Ella McCay" on Hulu starting Feb. 5
'Eternity' (Apple TV)
Genre: Romantic comedy
What's it about? "Eternity" centers around Joan (Elizabeth Olsen), who has just died and now has to choose who to spend the rest of her life with. It should be a simple answer, given she was married to Larry (Miles Teller), who is waiting for her upon her arrival in the afterlife. But, unfortunately for Larry, Joan's first husband, Luke (Callum Turner), is also waiting for her, and he's a handsome soldier who died in combat.
Why you should watch it: This is one of the best romantic comedies I've seen in years. It's so cleverly written, and it was ultimately one of my top 10 new movies of 2025. I wasn't alone in loving it either, as it also made Rory's top 10.
Stream "Eternity" on Apple TV starting Feb. 13
'Urchin' (Hulu)
Genre: Drama
What's it about? Mike (Frank Dillane) is living on the streets of London, trying to feed his drug addiction. That causes him to rob a bystander just trying to help, and after some time in prison, Mike attempts to reintegrate into society.
Why you need to watch it: Rory declared this one of his most underrated movies of 2025. It's the directorial debut of "Babygirl" star Harris Dickinson, and in "Urchin," he crafts a beautifully flawed character in Mike that both frustrates and engenders sympathy in equal measure. It's not an easy watch, but it is worth the struggle.
Stream "Urchin" on Hulu starting Feb. 17
'Dead of Winter' (HBO Max)
Genre: Psychological thriller
What's it about? Emma Thompson plays a grieving widow who finds herself stranded in a Minnesota blizzard. She makes her way to a cabin, but there she finds a kidnapped woman being held hostage by a couple. Now, she's that woman's only hope of getting out alive.
Why you should watch it: In his review of "Dead of Winter" (2025), Rory praised Thompson's performance as the protagonist, calling it a "masterclass." It's not a flawless movie, but it's perfect watching right now, in the dead of winter.
Stream "Dead of Winter" (2025) on HBO Max starting Feb. 20
