‘Beef’ season 2
Three years after its explosive debut, “Beef” returns for season 2 on Netflix, now officially shifting into an anthology after the success of its first season. With a brand-new cast led by Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny, it throws everyone into a volatile pressure cooker where emotions run high and tensions constantly threaten to snap. Having watched all eight episodes, I can confirm the drama is even juicier.
Article continues below“Beef” season 2 is set at an elite California country club where two younger employees, Ashley (Spaeny) and Austin (Melton), witness a violent argument between their boss Josh (Isaac) and his wife Lindsay (Mulligan). That moment pulls both couples into a spiralling chain of manipulation as they all try to secure influence within the club’s hierarchy. Their actions also entangle them with the club’s wealthy owner Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh-jung) and her husband.

‘Million Dollar Secret’ season 2
Back as Netflix’s twist on “The Traitors,” this reality competition once again throws strangers into a high-stakes game of deception hosted by Peter Serafinowicz. Eleven contestants must figure out who among them is secretly carrying a $1 million prize, while the rest attempt to outwit and eliminate the target. With battle royale rules in effect, the winner is whoever is holding the jackpot when the clock hits zero.
“Million Dollar Secret” season 2 sees fourteen contestants live together at a luxury lakeside estate in British Columbia, where one player secretly starts with $1 million. That millionaire must complete hidden “agenda” missions to gain advantages. The rest of the cast competes in challenges that reveal clues, then votes out suspects each episode. If the millionaire is eliminated, the money is reassigned and the game resets with new deception.

‘We Are All Trying Here’

Lastly we have the Korean drama, “We Are All Trying Here,” that follows people working in the entertainment and film industry. International titles often struggle for visibility when they drop alongside major global releases. Even strong, well-made series can get overlooked simply because they don’t have the same initial marketing push. Hopefully this one avoids that fate and gets the attention its cast and creative team deserves.
“We Are All Trying Here” follows an aspiring director Hwang Dong-man (Koo Kyo-hwan), who has spent years failing to debut, alongside producer Byeon Eun-a (Go Youn-jung), who is known for her harsh feedback and emotional restraint. Their lives become increasingly linked with a director whose latest film has bombed and a production CEO trying to hold her company together. As ambitions collide and reputations fall apart, their relationships are tested in a cutthroat creative world.
