A big bouquet of fresh new shows and shows arrive this weekend to watch on on Netflix, Prime Video and more of the best streaming services.
Like the season itself, the lineup is in full bloom. “Beef” season 2 serves up a new rage-filled feud featuring Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan, “From” season 4 gets even more eerie and mysterious, and “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” spins financial desperation into something darkly funny.
On the movie side, “Balls Up” sends Mark Wahlberg on a comedic adventure, while “Roommates” leans into awkward college cohabitation. Here's our guide on what to watch this weekend.
New TV shows
‘Beef’ season 2 (Netflix)
The vibes: Class warfare, generational clash, marital spats. This "Beef" is hot!
The plot: The award-winning anthology series introduces a story and cast in season 2. Instead of road rage, it’s a blackmail battle royale. Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan are a married couple running a country club who have a very public fight that's caught on video by their employees (Cailee Spaeny and Charles Melton). Add a oddball billionaire (Youn Yuh-jung), and it becomes a vicious brouhaha of manipulation and favors.
All 8 episodes are streaming now on Netflix
‘From’ season 4 (MGM+)
The vibes: The mysteries are growing even more mystifying.
Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips.
The plot: Fromville is as fraught as ever in season 4 as the Man in Yellow grows more menacing, and Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) struggles to keep the community from imploding. Jade (David Alpay) and Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) get closer to their Bottle Tree revelation, while Julie (Hannah Cheramy) learns her time-jumping has unforeseen effects. Plus, a new arrival stirs up trouble.
Episode 1 premieres Sunday, April 19 at 9 p.m. ET on MGM+
‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ (Apple TV)
The vibes: A broke young mom enters her monetization era.
The plot: Oscar nominee Elle Fanning stars as Margo, a college dropout with a newborn, an empty bank account and just one asset: herself. After an affair leaves her pregnant, she turns to OnlyFans to earn cash. Along the way, she reconnects with her estranged dad (Nick Offerman) and deals with the complicated legacy of her mom (Michelle Pfeiffer). Monetizing motherhood ain't easy.
Episodes 1-3 streaming now on Apple TV
‘Big Mood’ season 2 (Tubi)
The vibes: Imagine if your best friend ghosted you and then you see her at a wedding? Super awkward.
The plot: It's been a year since besties Maggie (Nicola Coughlan) and Eddie (Lydia West) stopped talking. Everything between them remains unresolved ... so, naturally, the universe reunites them at the wedding of a mutual friend. The encounter reopens old wounds, testing whatever is left of their relationship.

‘American Gladiators’ (Prime Video)
The vibes: Weekend warriors vs. human gods — get out the popcorn.
The plot: Amazon’s reboot brings back the obstacle-course competition that was a huge hit in the '90s. Contenders battle gladiators in classic events like Joust, Hang Tough and The Wall, plus new brawls: The Ring and Collision. Host Mike “The Miz” Mizanin oversees the athletic showdown that crowns two winners, who each get $100,000.
Premiere date: Episodes 1-3 on Friday, April 17 at 3 a.m. ET
Where to watch: Prime Video
New movies
‘Balls Up’ (Prime Video)
The vibes: “Dumb and Dumber” with soccer and even raunchier.
The plot: Two wildly unqualified marketing guys (Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser) think they’ve struck gold with a World Cup condom sponsorship until a boozy night in Brazil turns their big idea into an international incident. Suddenly fired and on the run, they’re dodging mobs, cartels and corrupt officials while trying to salvage their reputations. Expect bad decisions, dirty jokes and a lot of physical gags in classic Peter Farrelly style.

‘Roommates’ (Netflix)
The vibes: Dorm room chaos set to Charli XCX
The plot: Devon (Sadie Sandler) is a painfully earnest freshman who’s never quite had a real friend. She latches onto her roommate, Celeste (Chloe East), a kombucha-sipping cool girl. Their instant bond carries them through the early thrills of college life — parties, hangovers, glow-ups — but familiarity breeds contempt fast. What starts as a sweet, slightly codependent friendship turns into a hilariously petty cold war.
