The 98th Academy Awards are on Sunday, 15 March, and the Tom's Guide team is buzzing with excitement for the big night, and placing bets on which of our favourite movies will win. "Sinners" and "One Battle After Another" are the odds-on favorites to claim Best Picture, but will there be a surprise victor? It's happened before...

While we wait for the results, below, you can play our fun quiz to see how many of the 97 previous winners of the Academy Award for Best Picture you can recall in 10 minutes. Just type in the name of the movie (no need for the year), and if it's right, it will be added to the list. They don't have to be in order – though brownie points to you if they are!

Of course, we've already picked our own favorite movies of 2025, including the Tom's Guide reader's choice award for "Sinners" (there have now been more than 4,550 votes on that poll, with "Sinners" claiming 12% of your votes).

And Senior Entertainment Editor Rory Mellon, who has watched all 97 previous Best Picture winners (and many more besides), has picked his 9 best Oscar movies of all time. If that's not enough, Collections Editor John-Anthony Disotto spoke to a 4K Blu-Ray collector for his top 12 Oscar-winning Blu-ray recommendations. Movie marathon this weekend? I'm in.

Which movie do you think should win this year? Let us know in the poll below.
