Awards season is in full swing, the Golden Globes have been dished out, the SAG Awards (now rebranded The Actor Awards) are this weekend, live on Netflix, and the biggest night in Hollywood, The 98th Academy Awards, aka the Oscars, are set for Sunday, March 15.

The most acclaimed movies of 2025 are currently duking it out, and we here at Tom’s Guide wanted to get involved in recognizing our own favorite films of the year just gone. That’s why we created the inaugural Tom’s Guide Movie Awards 2026 (the Tommys for short!).

Over the last few weeks, the Tom’s Guide Streaming and Entertainment team has been locked in fierce debate, picking the best theatrical and streaming service original movies released in 2025. But as much as we wanted to give our flowers to the movies of last year that we loved, we also want to hear from you, our much-valued readers. That’s why we’ve created a special “Reader’s Choice” category, and we need your help to pick the winner.

Below you’ll find a poll with 20 of the biggest movies of 2025. There are blockbusters like “A Minecraft Movie,” “Superman,” and “Avatar: Fire and Ash” alongside plenty of familiar award-season favorites like “Sinners,” “One Battle After Another,” and “Marty Supreme.” We think the field represents 20 of the most popular and beloved flicks released last year.

But we don’t just want you to vote in the poll. We also want to hear from you. Leave a comment below telling us your favorite movie of 2025, and you could be featured in the first (annual?) Tom’s Guide Movie Awards 2026. After all, this category is all your opinions, so don’t be shy about dropping some hot takes, either.

The poll will close on Friday, March 6, at 12 p.m. ET, so get voting to ensure your top pick gets the recognition it deserves. And remember to leave a comment after you’ve voted.
