Forget Skechers — I tried Jennifer Aniston’s arch-support flip flops, and I’m never going back

Over the years, Jennifer Aniston has influenced me to cut all my hair off, buy an Oura ring, try Pvolve, and now I’ve even bought her flip flops. I would think of myself as being a little sad if they weren’t so damn comfortable — forget Skechers and Havianas, these are the ultimate summer shoe.

Unlike a lot of people who decide to only flip flop around the beach, I wear mine 365 days of the year, as slippers indoors, and outdoors pretty much all summer long. I’ve never found them too flat or that they’ve rubbed my feet, but since having my son, I have experienced arch pain, a common condition caused by relaxin, a hormone that loosens ligaments during pregnancy, so I found myself looking for a fix.

The result? I spent $40 on the Archies flip flops Jen swears by, and I’m never looking back. Here’s why I agree with the thousands of positive reviews on Amazon.

Archies Flip flops
Archies Flip flops: $40 at Amazon

You can buy the flip flops from Archies directly, or from Amazon (if you have Prime, you can have them on your feet tomorrow, should you wish). They’re available in tons of different colors and sizes for both men and women.

They have built-in arch support

Archies flip flops have been designed with podiatrists to offer more arch support than your regular plastic flip flops. They have an inch of orthotic arch support, which is ideal for anyone suffering from plantar fasciitis, flat feet, fallen arches, or heel pain. This works by supporting the foot’s natural shape and absorbing more shock as you walk, reducing stress on your joints.

This all sounds like a very good sales pitch, but they weren’t lying. Almost immediately, I felt the difference in these flip flops, and they’ve only gotten more comfortable over time as they squish and mould to my feet.

At first, I found the stretchable strap of the flip flops to be pretty tight across the top of my foot, as I have particularly high arches; however, it’s adapted over time. It’s still snug enough to hold my foot in place in the shoe, so that my toes aren’t having to grip as I walk, but I’ve never experienced any painful rubbing across the top of my foot.

They come in a huge variety of colors

Let’s look past the fact I’ve opted for a pair in the most boring color (black), and focus on the fact these come in a huge variety of options to suit every style.

Every fashion influencer under the sun is wearing red flip flops this year, and Jen has been spotted in a pair of the khaki sandals. I do have my eye on the buttery yellow shade for my next vacation.

They’re durable

Unlike regular flip flops, Archies have no plugs or weak points. They’re made from one piece of material to eliminate breakages and make them durable and hardwearing.

$40 is a lot of money to spend on a pair of flip flops, but you can expect these to last longer than just this summer.
