I work in New York City — here’s what I’m wearing to stay warm on my commute (The North Face, Ugg, Lululemon and more)
Winter wardrobe doesn't have to be ugly
It's freezing in New York City! And while many of us have been able to stay warm and cozy in the comfort of our own homes for the past few days, venturing outdoors is inevitable — especially if you commute to work.
Fortunately, I've gathered some of my favorite pieces that I wear on freezing cold commute days. Sure, bundling up isn't the cutest look, but you can still purchase office-ready outfits and outerwear that will keep you both warm and stylish.
Below, you can find the items I'm planning to wear on my commute to the office, courtesy of brands like The North Face, Lululemon, Ugg and more. Even better? Almost everything is sporting a discount.

Although the Carhartt Knit Cuff Beanie isn't currently on sale, it's still worth a buy at just $19. It's a men's hat but I've been wearing it non-stop for the past few months. (Yes, I may have stolen it from my husband). Not only is it a warm and comfy accessory for your head, it will also boost your cool factor.

Ugg doesn't just make shoes! These adorable socks are perfect to complete your outfits, especially on cold days. They're made of super soft chenille, which Ugg says "feels like a cloud surrounding your foot." I have a similar chenille pair and have been wearing them constantly with my winter boots.

Your hands deserve some love during the colder months of the year, so treat yourself to these super soft and cozy Lululemon mittens. They also have a fleece lining. I've been eyeing these mittens for a while — and now that they're on sale, I'm definitely adding them to my cart.

If you need a sweater that will keep you cozy but is still considered stylish, this is the perfect pick from Smartwool. It's a lightweight knit made with recycled polyester and comes in four different colors and isn't bulky so it will fit comfortable under your jacket.

For days that are seriously cold, you might need a bottom base layer — and this lightweight pick from Arc’teryx just got a $20 discount. You can wear them under loose pants or a dress, or even just pair them with a long sweater. The waistband is designed for easy layering.

The North Face jacket that I actually own is older so it's no longer available for purchase, but this parka is the perfect upgrade. Block out the winter's harsh elements when wearing this wind-resistant parka that also has a water-repellent finish and warm 550-fill down insulation to help keep you warm and dry through cold and wet conditions.

If you're heading outdoors into the snow or ice, you need a boot that can keep up — and fortunately, the Adirondack III Boot is up to the task. I've had these boots for several years and I can attest to the fact that will keep your feet nice and toasty. They feature warming insulation, a cushioning insole and most importantly, a rubber outsole to keep you sturdy when walking on snow or ice. I also love their faux-fur collar which makes them both stylish and functional.
