It's freezing in New York City! And while many of us have been able to stay warm and cozy in the comfort of our own homes for the past few days, venturing outdoors is inevitable — especially if you commute to work.

Fortunately, I've gathered some of my favorite pieces that I wear on freezing cold commute days. Sure, bundling up isn't the cutest look, but you can still purchase office-ready outfits and outerwear that will keep you both warm and stylish.

Although the Carhartt Knit Cuff Beanie isn't currently on sale, it's still worth a buy at just $19. It's a men's hat but I've been wearing it non-stop for the past few months. (Yes, I may have stolen it from my husband). Not only is it a warm and comfy accessory for your head, it will also boost your cool factor.

Ugg doesn't just make shoes! These adorable socks are perfect to complete your outfits, especially on cold days. They're made of super soft chenille, which Ugg says "feels like a cloud surrounding your foot." I have a similar chenille pair and have been wearing them constantly with my winter boots.

The North Face jacket that I actually own is older so it's no longer available for purchase, but this parka is the perfect upgrade. Block out the winter's harsh elements when wearing this wind-resistant parka that also has a water-repellent finish and warm 550-fill down insulation to help keep you warm and dry through cold and wet conditions.

Ugg Adirondack III Boot (Women's)

If you're heading outdoors into the snow or ice, you need a boot that can keep up — and fortunately, the Adirondack III Boot is up to the task. I've had these boots for several years and I can attest to the fact that will keep your feet nice and toasty. They feature warming insulation, a cushioning insole and most importantly, a rubber outsole to keep you sturdy when walking on snow or ice. I also love their faux-fur collar which makes them both stylish and functional.
