I tried this smart scent diffuser and I’m never going back to burning candles again
My entire home smells amazing after using this smart diffuser

Given our hectic schedules, it isn’t any wonder why many people are incorporating smart home gadgets into their lives to make it a little easier. From best robot vacuums and kitchen appliances to smart lights, you can literally find almost any item that comes with a handy app. And if you want your home to smell amazing all day long, there’s even a smart gadget to do exactly that. Cue the Scent Air Whisper Home diffuser — a smart scent diffuser to instantly freshen your home, and control at just a touch of a button on your phone.
Admittedly, I wasn’t convinced that I would need such a gadget. After all, it wasn’t necessarily doing anything around my home (such as cleaning my mess), and I already had my supply of scented candles and essential oil diffusers that I’d regularly burn. However, I was sold on the idea that I can save time (and money) on: a) burning candles, and b) avoiding the risk of forgetting to blow them out at the end of the night.
Surprisingly, I came away impressed, wondering why I hadn't tried such a gadget before. Here are three things I liked and one I didn’t about using the ScentAir Diffuser Machine.
This modern style, smart aroma diffuser machine will leave your home smelling fresh in seconds. It can be operated either manually or connect the app to your phone via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. You can adjust the fragrance intensity, set timer schedules and even change the LED lighting color to suit your mood. The diffuser also comes in black or white.
3 things I liked about the ScentAir Diffuser
1. You can set schedules on your smartphone
After inserting the fragrance cartridge — I tried the Fresh Linen aroma — I powered on the device at the bottom. You have the option to manually control it with the function buttons underneath, or pair it up to your device to control remotely.
One typical gripe I have about smart home gadgets is complicated set-up or glitchy app control. Luckily, the ScentAir diffuser was quick to set-up (I chose Bluetooth), and the app was very responsive.
I liked the fact that you could set your 'scent' schedules to automatically come on wherever you are. So whether it's before you you get home, or during dinner times to diffuse cooking smells, I found this convenient. Plus, it saves you the effort of turning it off every night.
Once it kicks in, you can also choose the LED lighting color of your choice, and there are nine bold 'mood lighting' tones to suit your room and create a lovely, soft glow in the room.

2. It can fragrance the whole house
Another thing I liked was the fact that you can adjust the fan speeds to increase or lower the scent intensity, and also set intervals.
This is great if you only want short bursts without the scent becoming too overwhelming or running continuously. I found myself adjusting to 'strong' whenever I was cooking and wanted to freshen the air from food odors.
What’s more, the fragrance has a large coverage (up to 800 sq feet), so it could cover a large portion of your house, or a single floor. Of course, this will depend on where you place your device. I alternated mine between a windowsill and on the floor.
The good thing is, its modern design can blend in with any room décor.
3. Whisper quiet
I was equally impressed at how quiet the diffuser was while running. If you tried to listen for it, it would just be a low hum, but I hardly noticed it was on most of the time.
This made it ideal for bedroom use, relaxing in the living room, or enjoying a movie without being disturbed by noise.
1 thing I didn't like
Perhaps my only disappointment is that there isn’t a USB charging port, and so it’s not easily portable. You’ll need to have a power socket nearby which can be limiting , especially if you want to take it outside the home.
Bear in mind that the ScentAir diffuser does come at an eye-watering price, which is something to consider. In addition, you’ll need to factor in the cost of each fragrance refill, which costs around $55.
In any case, I was loved the convenience to just ‘set and forget’, and it’s certainly a safer option than re-lighting my scented candles. Plus, my home smells amazing all day, and always receives compliments from guests. Certainly a worthwhile investment.
