If you're currently fed up with cleaning your floors every day, whether you've got kids, dogs, or you just prefer clean floors every day, then a robot vacuum is a total game-changer.

I've used the iRobot Roomba Plus 505 every single day since it arrived at my doorstep, and even my guests comment on how great it is. Normally, though, they're a little put off by the price — usually, it's $999.99, but I spotted it at Amazon for $549.99. A Cyber Monday steal.

Trust me when I say that this will change your life. Guests on their way? Turn it on for a quick clean — there are several modes to choose from, including a deep clean. Spilled drink? Sent it there to spot clean a specific area. Out of the house and want it to be clean for when you get home? Control it via your phone and set your worries aside.

Owning this robot vacuum cleaner has changed my life. Gone are the days of having to vacuum and mop my floors once a day — this clever robot does the job for me. It even empties its own dust bin, fills itself with water, and even dumps away its dirty water, too. All I need to do is move the toys out of the way and ensure that its two tanks are ready to go.

Available in two colorways (mine is white and fits perfectly in my kitchen), this intuitive robot will have your house mapped and your floors cleaned fast. And, gone are the days of robot vacuums just dragging a mop pad over your floors — this one actually scrubs your floors clean, while it returns to its base to clean its mop pads several times while cleaning, and after completing a job, it cleans the pads again and dries them, ready for next use.

Why I love the iRobot Roomba Plus 505 Combo

I rated this robot vacuum 4.5 stars out of 5 in my iRobot Roomba Plus 505 Combo Review. The reason I love it so much is sheer convenience — it even reaches right into the corners of my baseboards. It also cleans my Pug's hair well!

You can control it via your phone, and after it has mapped your house, you can set no-go zones. You can also add your furniture to your map so it knows what to avoid and crawl around. Even better? You can schedule it to clean — mine comes out every weekday evening at 6, straight after dinnertime, to help with the cleanup.

Though initially, it might seem big, when you think of all it can do, it's actually quite compact for its size. My dock lives in the corner of my kitchen, and maintenance is pretty minimal. I've had to change the mop pads once since using it (I've used it for 3 months). I've not yet had to empty its dust bin! Admittedly, its dirty water tank does get gross — just make sure you clean it often. Truly, you'll be shocked at the color of the water that comes out of it! The clean water tank often needs refilling, too.

Do bear in mind that this robot vacuum, although undeniably handy, is loud when in use. It's especially noisy while emptying its dust bin, at the end of a job; otherwise, I recorded an average noise level of approximately 65dB.
