You don’t have to wait until Black Friday to save big on a huge curved gaming monitor. I just found a deal for one of my favorite Samsung OLED monitors, and it’s one you’ll want to have, if you have the space for it!

Right now, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is $999 at Best Buy. That’s a gargantuan $700 off one of the best gaming monitors I’ve ever tested. Like I said, you’ll need plenty of space for this beast, but you’ll find it delivers a phenomenal gaming experience. Here’s why you should consider getting the Odyssey OLED G9.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G9: was $1,699 now $999 at Best Buy

Samsung's amazing Odyssey OLED G9 curved gaming monitor extends 49 inches, taking your peripheral vision in games to a whole new level. It boasts G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro compatibility, along with a 240Hz refresh rate. Now that it's down to $999, this is a deal any gamer should check out.

Like I said in my Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 review, this ultrawide 49-inch curved gaming monitor offers one of the most immersive gaming experiences available. The wide field of view really makes you feel enveloped.

Picture quality and performance are as impressive as the Odyssey OLED G9’s size. The sharp 5,120 x 1,440 resolution ensures that everything appears crystal clear, while the 240Hz refresh rate also helps games run buttery smooth. The 1ms input lag might be too slow for ultra hardcore gamers, but for regular gamers like us, it feels like there’s no delay at all.

While the Odyssey OLED G9 is fantastic, it’s not perfect. As I mentioned earlier, you’ll need a considerable amount of space for this monitor, which may be challenging if your workspace is limited. Even if you have enough room, you’ll still need to sit at least three feet away from the monitor to comfortably view everything on the screen.

If you have room for it, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is a brilliant gaming monitor for anyone looking to play games with an ultrawide aspect ratio or even those who want to switch their dual-monitor setups for a single monitor. I’m not sure how long this deal will last, so you might want to act fast before Best Buy raises the price or stock runs out.
