Over the course of six months and 123 games, 168 teams from across the country are whittled down to just one eventual winner with players living their schoolboy dream at the FA Cup final on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Before that, however, there's plenty of chance for heroes to be made, giants to be killed and club folklore to be created.
Last year, that opportunity was seized by Crystal Palace, as the Eagles lifted the cup for the first time in their 120-year history. Leicester City and Wigan Athletic are other recent winners who defied the odds, while Arsenal (14 wins) and Manchester United (13) are the competition's most successful sides.
We're now down to the final four as Manchester City face Southampton and Chelsea take on Leeds. Both games will be live from Wembley Stadium.

Semi-Final Preview
The semi-finals present two compelling narratives: domestic treble-chasing Man City face underdogs Southampton, while a rudderless Chelsea take on a history chasing Leeds side.
Saturday kicks things off with Man City vs Southampton. The Saints defeated Arsenal 2–1 at St Mary’s in the quarter-finals to set up this tie, but the challenge only grows against one of the most in-form teams in the country. City’s focus may be predominantly on the Premier League, though, and Tonda Eckert will hope his side can spring an upset on the biggest stage.
Sunday offers a far more even contest, with Chelsea entering the game on the back of dreadful form. The Blues have lost seven of their last eight matches and haven’t scored in the Premier League in five. That run saw boss Liam Rosenior dismissed, with Callum McFarlane placed in temporary charge until the end of the season.
For Leeds, it will be all about seizing a rare opportunity at silverware, with Premier League survival almost guaranteed. This is their first FA Cup semi-final since 1986–87, and they will feel a self-pitying Chelsea could be the perfect opponent.
