How to watch England vs New Zealand: free streams, preview for 2025 netball series
A superb rivalry has blossomed between the Roses and Silver Ferns
It hurt, but being denied Commonwealth Games bronze by New Zealand three years ago seems to have done England the world of good. The Roses have got the better of the Silver Ferns in five of nine meetings since, and made several notable breakthroughs besides.

Eight months out from the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, this three-game series feels like a dress-rehearsal for the inevitable. And while New Zealand are ranked at No.2 and England at No.4, Jess Thirlby's women are in a much healthier place right now. For starters, they're actually under the tutelage of their coach.
Noeline Taurua won't link up with her charges until the New Year, in the wake of a bizarre saga that's seen Netball New Zealand suspend and reinstate the Silver Ferns' ultra-successful coach in quick succession, after receiving complaints about her famously unorthodox coaching methods from two players. The opacity of the national body's investigation hasn't helped.
Neither did New Zealand's recent Constellation Cup defeat to Australia. In fairness, they almost managed to claw their way out of the hole they found themselves in after two games, but when they were bad, they were way off it. Grace Nweke and Maddy Gordon, however, took no time to rekindle their magic in the warmup series north of the border.
England, however, are coming off their maiden Netball Nations Cup triumph, their third ever victory over Australia on Aussie soil and, perhaps most significantly of all, their second ever Taini Jamison Trophy win.
