'War Machine (2026)
Netflix's latest action blockbuster "War Machine" is still hanging in the charts, though it's fallen in the ranking since its release at the top of the month. While it doesn't exactly break new ground, it's easily one of the stronger genre entries in Netflix's top 10 right now. If you've already binged "Reacher" season 3 and can't kick that Alan Ritchson fix, you can find him fighting off an otherworldly in this quintessential dad action movie that's a cross between "Predator" and "War of the Worlds." "War Machine" works best as a popcorn thriller to wile away a weekend afternoon, even if the ending fumbles a bit. This would have stuck the landing for me if Netflix wasn't chomping at the bit to turn it into a franchise, which killed the momentum for me.

'The Bad Guys 2' (2025)
After singing the praises of "Kpop Demon Hunters" for months, I figured it was time to give another animated movie some love (though the Oscar winner is still in the top 10, and you absolutely should watch it). I haven't seen "The Bad Guys 2" yet, but the first one charmed my socks off, so I've urged parents to give it a chance. I woke my dog up cackling at this sharp "Ocean's Eleven" style tribute for the kiddos, especially the running bit with Craig Robinson's "master of disguise" Mr. Shark ("Dad?" kills me to this day). The sequel pulled in strong reviews too, with an 87% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, and an even more glowing 94% from audiences. It once again follows a crew of villains, now reformed citizens for better and worse: Mr. Wolf (Sam Rockwell), Mr. Snake (Marc Maron), Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos), Mr. Shark (Robinson), and Ms. Tarantula (Awkwafina). Naturally, old habits prove hard to shake when a new crew known as The Bad Girls (led by the phenomenal Danielle Brooks — is there anything she can't do?) calls them in for one last high-stakes job.

'Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man' (2026)
The final evolution of Timothy Chalmet is back in top form with "Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man," a long-awaited fallow-up to the beloved historical crime drama. In our review, Tom's Guide streaming writer Martin Shore called it "a solid extra helping of Steven Knight's crime drama, with much of the swagger and style of the show that came before." Stepping back to Birmingham circa 1940, we find Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) a broken man while his estranged, erratic son Duke (Barry Keoghan) has taken over as the leader of the Peaky Blinders. When a Nazi scheme puts his family and nation at risk, Tommy's catapulted face-first by the plot to confront his grief (with all the expected pizzazz) or risk losing everything he holds dear.
