Another day, another "Avengers: Doomsday" trailer. This time, though, we got the trailer that many fans have perhaps awaited the most. This time, we got the X-Men.
We've known now for a while that the X-Men would be a part of the next Marvel movie. Many members of the iconic Fox superhero franchise were announced in the "Doomsday" cast reveal. But this is the first footage we've seen of the X-Men in the MCU outside of "Deadpool & Wolverine."
I'll be honest, I haven't been impressed by the previous two trailers for this upcoming Marvel movie, which is one of my most anticipated films of 2026. Yes, we got confirmation that Chris Evans is back as Steve Rogers, but I'd be lying if I said his return didn't feel like a panic move by Marvel and the actor. The Thor trailer? That was also fine, but left me feeling like this marketing campaign is just Marvel going, "Hey, remember when the MCU was awesome? Don't worry, it's coming back."
Well, I was worried, but incredibly, perhaps this movie's biggest nostalgia play has me totally hooked. Maybe I'm just a sucker for Ian McKellen's voice, which we hear at the six-second mark of the trailer. Maybe I can't help but love seeing McKellen as Magneto on screen with Patrick Stewart's Charles Xavier, which we get at around the 40-second mark of the 68-second trailer.
But I think what really got me was James Marsden's Cyclops in a comic book-accurate suit, letting out a massive optic blast. It gave me goosebumps, and almost had me wishing the Avengers would stay away so we could get one last hurrah with the X-Men. I'm just hoping they'll get to go out in the glorious manner they deserve when "Avengers: Doomsday" debuts in theaters on Dec. 18, 2026.

The fourth 'Avengers: Doomsday' trailer has already leaked
Unfortunately for the X-Men — and Kevin Feige — they didn't get to steal the spotlight for long. Almost as soon as Marvel officially published the third "Avengers: Doomsday" trailer, the fourth one seemingly leaked.
I had heard rumors that this fourth trailer would feature the Wakandans and the Fantastic Four, and it seems that this rumor is correct. Marvel is taking down the trailer leaks about as fast as Quicksilver, but some have already seen the trailer and are giving their official synopsis. Obviously, spoilers ahead.

4th 'AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY' leaked teaser breakdown 🚨 The teaser opens with a heavy, intense atmosphere in Desert of Wakanda. The short version is that it's the Wakandans who find the Fantastic Four first when they arrive on Earth 616, rather than the New Avengers.
The ending of "Thunderbolts*" seemed to set up the new iteration of Earth's mightiest heroes, being the welcoming committee for Marvel's first family, but it seems that's not to be. Instead, it's M'Baku (Winston Duke), Shuri (Letitia Wright) and reportedly Namor (Tenoch Huerta) that greet the Fantastic Four. Specifically, they meet Ben Grimm aka the Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).
We'll likely get this fourth and final teaser in the coming days. But that could be our last taste of "Avengers: Doomsday" until an official teaser trailer debuts in the coming months.
