Just when I thought there was a shortage of good Aussie streaming deals this Black Friday, Disney Plus has dropped this sizable, rare deal on its Standard subscription tier.

From now until December 10, 2025, Disney Plus is offering up a Standard subscription for the equivalent of just AU$9.33p/m, whereas it usually costs AU$15.99p/m. The catch? You’ll need to sign up for an annual plan at an upfront cost of AU$111.99. The deals’ available for both new and eligible returning subscribers and saves you a massive 30% off the typical annual price, or 41% off what you’d pay by going month-to-month!

Disney Plus Standard annual subscription: was AU$159.99 now AU$111.99 at Disney+

Retailing at AU$159.99p/y for a Standard annual subscription, this Disney Plus deal will net you a massive AU$48 in savings over your first year. For a modest average of AU$9.33p/m for 12 months, you can access Disney Plus' impressive content catalogue, including recent Marvel hits like Fantastic Four: First Steps, Hulu originals such as All's Fair and the upcoming season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. And to make the deal even sweeter, there are no ads on Disney Plus, so you can stream your favourite shows, movies and documentaries uninterrupted.

There's arguably never been a better time to subscribe to Disney Plus, with a slate of new original titles coming to the platform to close out 2025 — and there's even some exciting new shows confirmed for 2026.

For Christmas movie lovers, Disney Plus has all the classics. From The Polar Express to Home Alone, The Grinch (2002) and the Santa Clause franchise (including the spinoff TV show), Disney's got you and your festive film watching covered.

Of course, there's some more grown-up fare in Hulu Originals, such as American Horror Story, Murdaugh: Death in the Family, All's Fair, Abbott Elementary, Only Murders in the Building and The Bear. If you're a Marvel or Star Wars fan, new and upcoming releases like Fantastic Four: First Steps, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures (December 8), and Daredevil: Born Again season two (March 4, 2026) should have your fix sorted.

As a self-proclaimed Disney Adult myself, I am personally looking forward to the new Taylor Swift documentary series, The End of an Era, coming December 12, and the second season of my favourite original series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, with a double episode premiere on December 10.

Also, Disney Plus now even caters to sports fans — with ESPN channels that’ll have your back all summer long, with live and on-demand NBA, NFL and Australia's own NBL games, including the Christmas Day series, direct on the streamer. (Go Kings!)

What's more, this deal is perfectly timed for a new Disney Plus subscriber exclusive, Disney Plus Perks. Subscribers can access perks such as retail discounts, movie and event tickets, and more. And, starting 9am AEDT December 1, 2025, subscribers can access "12 Days of Disney Plus Perks" with plenty of Disney-themed prizes to be won throughout the promotional period.

You may be wondering what's actually included in a Disney Plus standard subscription. Here's a quick breakdown:

  • Two simultaneous streams in HD resolution and up to 5.1 audio playback
  • Access to Disney Plus' content library of 2,973 titles, made up of 1,938 movies and 1,035 television shows
  • Unlimited downloads across devices
  • Ad-free viewing
  • No lock-in contracts

What you do miss out on compared to Disney Plus' Premium subscription is 4K streaming for up to four simultaneous screens, both of which are exclusive features of the higher tier.

* New and eligible returning Disney Plus subscribers only. Must be Australian residents aged 18+. Auto-renews at the then-current annual retail price after promotional period ends until cancelled. Additional terms apply.
