I'm a huge fan of the On Cloudmonster 2, and not only because that huge stack height makes me look taller. They are soft, cushioned, and comfortable, best suited to long runs and easy runs. You'll also probably want to wear them to the office after your run commutes, as they look cool enough to do so.

If you've been waiting for the Black Friday deals to drop to upgrade your running shoes, I've got good news. The sales have started early, and On has quietly reduced my favorite Cloudmonster 2 by 30% to $125.

Right now, the shoe is 30% off on On's site in both men's and women's sizes. The best way to find the cheapest deal in your size is to cycle through all the different colorways. Act fast, this discount won't be around for long.

The On Cloudmonster 2 is my go-to daily shoe for easy miles. You might be trying to decide between the On Cloudmonster 2 vs the On Cloudsurfer 2, and it's a tough one to call; however, I personally prefer the bounce and look of On's monster shoe.

The On Cloudmonster 2 is a heavily cushioned daily trainer, so the aim is to protect your legs from regular impact, especially over longer distances. While the shoe is cushioned, it doesn't have the same sink-in comfort as something like the Nike Vomero Plus.

That said, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. The firmer shoe has enough versatility to wear it for faster sessions; however, it's definitely best suited for those long, easy miles.

At $125, you're getting a decent, and hugely popular shoe, for a great price. Grab this one while you can!
