Let's not beat around the bush — we're less than four months into 2026 and it's already been a dumpster-fire of a year, which is why I'm using Amazon's Big Smile Sale as an opportunity to go back to a simpler time, when my biggest concerns involved a flat tyre on my BMX and dusty cartridges not working on my Atari 2600.
That's right, I was a kid of the 1980s (and a teenager of the 1990s) and everything was more fun back then. Forget monthly subscriptions — we had a Walkman with cassettes filled with songs taped from the radio, and we appreciated that music!
With that in mind, I've rounded up 12 deals that will help you join me in the good old days. These are all relatively affordable, and will do nicely until someone invents a working time machine.
Choices include vintage toys, such as My Little Pony, Masters of the Universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as nostalgic gaming throwbacks, including the Atari 2600+ retro console (which will even play your old cartridges, including 7800 games), along with a Dungeons & Dragons starter kit for Stranger Things-style fun, some Choose Your Own Adventure novels, and more!
Any of the below items should give you back that child-like sense of wonder that's missing from our current world, if even for a moment. So without further ado, here are the 12 retro-tastic deals that I'm considering from Amazon's sale. Now, if you don't mind, I'm off to watch some episodes of ALF...
