Cue Dreame’s latest innovation: the Matrix10 Ultra, the industry-first, multi-mop switching dock that comes with a three-solution compartment. In other words, each mop pad can adapt to your specific floor type, and comes with the right cleaning solution to suit your task. Impressive! What's more, this clever feature would eliminate those unsightly streaks or dirty marks on the floors after cleaning — a common gripe about robot mop systems.
I managed to get up close and personal at the Dreame launch event yesterday to find out more. Here’s everything you need to know about the Matrix10 Ultra.
Multi-Mop Switching Dock
First of all, the Matrix10 Ultra switching dock is a beast. But once you see what goes on inside, it comes as no surprise. It houses up to three mop types that automatically switch to adapt to the room type or specific cleaning task.
For instance, you have nylon-bristled scrubbing pads to tackle grease or heavy duty stains in kitchens, sponge water-locking pads suitable for bathrooms, ensuring they won’t end up soaked. Finally, there are thermal mop pads for other rooms, maintaining a consistent temperature for everyday cleaning.
These mop pads are neatly stacked up one side of the door. Once it selects the right pad, it will slide down a ramp into the dock space where it drops off the pad into the base, ready to attach underneath the robot vacuum. All making light work of household tasks.
Three-Solution Compartment
Another impressive feature is that system comes with a three-solution compartment. Essentially, this gives you tailored cleaning solutions for your floors. It has wood floor care, general cleaning and even one to eliminate pet odors — which is a dream for pet parents.
What's more, this will offer a deeper, fresher clean, while protecting your hard floors at the same time. Plus, you’ll never have to worry about scratched/damaged flooring or missed spots.
Needless to say, I came away impressed by this innovative robot vacuum and mop hybrid. Especially the idea of never having to get my hands dirty again, which would certainly be a selling point for many.
When can you buy the Dreame Matrix10 Ultra?
Sadly, those in the U.S. will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on one, while in the UK the Dreame Matrix10 Ultra is available for £1,399 (with a £200 discount during the first week.
