The Breville Bambino Plus is the best beginner espresso machine — and it's at its lowest-ever price for October Prime Day
The top beginner espresso machine, and my personal favorite

I'm scouring the web for the best espresso machine deals this October Prime Day, and I've already found one of the best discounts we're going to get. Right now, the Breville Bambino Plus is at its lowest-ever price of $399.
I review espresso machines for a living, so when I say something is my number one favorite, it's a big deal. So buckle up: the Breville Bambino Plus is my favorite espresso machine in the world. In my opinion, this is the best espresso machine money can buy.
No, I'm not being dramatic. There are so many reasons why this machine is awesome, but the most important one? It makes perfect coffee.
The Bambino Plus is perfect for beginners thanks to its compact size. At just 7 inches wide, you won't have to clear a whole countertop in your kitchen and will slot nicely between other appliances. It's got an auto milk frother, too, so ideal if you're not massively confident as a barista yet.
If you've never had an espresso machine before, the Breville Bambino Plus is the best place to start. As it's a semi-automatic machine, it can help you learn the basics of coffee-making, and can also be more hands-off for when you've learned the ropes.
The Bambino Plus comes with dual-walled and single-walled portafilters, which means you can use the machine with both pre-ground and freshly ground coffee. While I would never use pre-ground coffee or dual-walled portafilters, this is great for beginners who might not have a grinder yet.
Once you've got the coffee in the group handle (the black-and-silver thingamajig you can see in the photo below), making coffee is as straightforward as just pressing the button.
Thanks to the Bambino Plus's PID controller, the coffee machine controls water temperature throughout brewing, which means it'll never burn the coffee. Cheaper machines lack a PID controller, so if you're wondering why your home espresso always tasted burned, it could be the lack of PID controller.
Another great beginner-friendly feature is the automatic milk frother. Unlike its younger sibling the Breville Bambino, the Bambino Plus can froth your milk hands-free. Personally, I never use this feature, but my boyfriend always heats his milk with the automatic frother. He is definitely what I'd call a barista beginner, and it suits him just fine.
You won't really find any other similarly priced machines with an auto milk frother — it's the Bambino Plus or bust. Other Casabrews, Gevi, and De'Longhi models require users to manually steam their milk, usually with weak steam wands, too. The Bambino Plus has a 4-hole steam wand that ensures you'll get barista-quality milk in no time.
At just $399, the Bambino Plus is an utter steal right now. $399 is the lowest the Bambino Plus has ever been, so I wouldn't waste any time in grabbing this awesome deal.
