God of War 20th Anniversary DualSense — where to pre-order limited edition PS5 controller today
Here’s where to buy the latest limited edition DualSense

The God of War 20th Anniversary DualSense controller for PS5 is exactly what it sounds like. Announced during last month’s State of Play, it’s a swanky new special edition gamepad to celebrate Sony’s juggernaut action franchise, and the very angry protagonist at its core: Kratos.
Pre-orders for the God of War DualSense began in both the U.S. and the U.K. earlier today (Oct. 3), and Amazon currently has stock in both regions. So, you can lock in your God of War special edition controller right now.
- God of War 20th Anniversary controller: $84 @ Amazon U.S. (PRE-ORDERS LIVE)
- God of War 20th Anniversary controller: £74 @ Amazon U.K. (PRE-ORDERS LIVE)
The controller will launch on October 23. However, if you already know you want to add this new controller to your collection, then you’ll want to secure a pre-order just to be safe. After all, limited edition PS5 DualSense controllers have sold out in the past, and restocks are not guaranteed.

And I’ll be updating this article as more retailers appear on the scene. With that said, Sony has noted that “participating retailers” will also stock the item in some regions.

What is the God of War 20th Anniversary DualSense controller?
Sony has released plenty of themed PS5 DualSense controllers this generation, marking the release of games like Hogwarts Legacy, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yotei, Astro Bot and more. And while there is no new God of War game on the horizon right now, this new controller celebrates the franchise’s 20th Anniversary.
The design is definitely on the minimalist side of the scale, but I’m personally a fan. It’s a base all-white controller with a striking red line down the right-hand side in tribute to Kratos’ instantly recognisable tattoo. The red mark covers even the R1 and R2 buttons, and the PlayStation face buttons also get a red makeover. It’s a simple but effective design.
Otherwise, this is just a regular DualSense controller. It’s not a DualSense Edge, and as you would expect comes with no new features. As noted, pre-orders start on Friday, October 3, ahead of the actual release date on October 23. It retails for $84 / £74. Previous limited-edition controllers have sold out fast, and while the fan reception to this one has been rather mixed, if you know you want one at this stage, I recommend locking in a pre-order.
